We had the Parmigiana with pasta which was different but very tasty. The pizza was good. The service was friendly and efficient.

This is our local pub and I always loved coming to your pub for a drink and a meal with friends. But, as times gone on and you’ve changed your menu its very disappointing. Foods very bland and over priced. Whenever we order steak/meat its never cooked to our request it is always rare no matter what we ask for, really disappointed as the local has now not impressed me on every visit I do its getting worst. Sorry, but I will not be returning.

When dad said we were going to burrendah tavern for mums birthday dinner, I was quite sceptical. I’d been around the southlands shopping centre quite a lot, and popped my head into the tavern but it’d never looked appealing. When we got there, I was surprised to see that it had undergone a lot of renovations and is now; The Burrendah Bar & Bistro. The place was decked out beautifully with booths and tables nicely spread out so it doesn’t get that congested bar feel on the inside and a lovely alfresco area outside with a huge fish tank, and heaters in the winter to keep you warm. We were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant but asked if we could move to a booth at the side. The booth was really comfy and our party of 6 fitted in nicely. The menu offers a huge range of meals; pastas, salads, seafood, steaks, lamb, chicken & pork, and wood fired pizzas. Our meals all came out at the same time and were all delicious and very filling! The steaks which my mum and sister get very particular about were cooked to a perfect medium. They have Karaōke on Friday nights and bands on Sat and Sunday nights. They also have 2 huge TVs for the sport fans and a thirsty camel out the front, so you can grab a six pack or nice wine on the way home. The only downside to the venue was you have to order your food at the front counter and the drinks at the bar. When it’s busy, you can be in line a while waiting and trying to remember everyones orders(I had to write it on my phone)

Very busy on a Sunday. The booths are great. Everything positioned to see all the sports games. The food is your typical pub fare. Large portions. Steaks, Burgers, etc. Today I had the Lebanese Lamb wraps… fantastic.

I have to say I wasn’t expecting much when I came here… it never looked particularly nice when I walked past on the way to the Southlands shopping center. I still haven’t been in the front bar section, which often looks quite busy. Around back, kind of tucked away, is a nicer-than-you’d-expect little tavern with both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Nice bar options and also quite a good menu, including vegetarian options! I was there on a weeknight, so it wasn’t too crowded, but the quiet atmosphere made it easy to chat and the service was good. Nice spot for a casual date night if you’re in the area.

Sadly. Another Perth pub that overprices and under delivers. 25+ for a meal. Prawn pasta served with one prawn — $ 29. Steak sandwich average rump and panini deal — $ 18. Chocolate milkshake — $ 8! Couldn’t believe it, especially when it was below average at best. If your after a local pub and are willing to pay these prices for a par average meal then this is for you, but with new age Perth pubs and eating holes that are seriously setting the bar for great quality food and decent prices you can’t help feel that these places either need to lift there game or die out.

If you enjoy a big traditional pub meal, the burry is the place to be. Huge servings, nice service and a lovely beer garden to dine in.
