AMF Bowling

Do you like to have a great time socializing with friends or family but don’t know where there’s a good place to hang out at? May I suggest to you that this particular AMF Bowling center is highly recommended to be a good starting point.
Having been to many AMF Centers all along the East Coast, I must say that this one on Cross Road is one of the more enjoyable one’s I have been to. With more than enough space to move inside and around the main three attractions, having a easy and fun time at AMF will be even more enjoyable. Having a very modern interior with the ability to have party lights makes this place really nice to be in.
With a pretty decent amount of bowling lanes, having a dozen friends or family will not leave anybody out. Or if people want to do something different there is also a lazer skirmish room and a arcade to boot! A special tip is keep an eye out as AMF have offers throughout the week, having unlimited bowling or unlimited lazer skirmish for around $ 20.
They also have a café if you or the friends/​family want to grab a bite to eat or a drink to cool off from all the bowling! They also serve alcohol for the adults but can pay quite a bit for it. Not to mention that ordering can take a fair bit of time as they only have one person working both the counter and out in the back. So do expect to pay a hefty amount and wait for it.
If you want to get out there and make new friends or want to pick up a weekly activity, ask the staff about their bowling leagues. They have two types of leagues, one being run by Tenpin Bowling Australia and the other being run by the actual center. They have leagues running at least five days a week and running at various times throughout the day.
All in all, I would give it a eight out of ten.
I would deduct one point for the fact that staff there can be very limited and create the problem of having wait times. The other one point I deduct is that parking is very limited and can cause issues. But other then that this AMF center is very good.

Not a bad place for bowling. It’s hideously expensive though. If you’re taking the kids, just make sure you’re sufficiently cashed up, because if they don’t empty your wallet when you pay for a couple of games, they certainly will by the time you’ve bought a few drinks.
The lanes are alright. Not perfect, but what do you expect?
There certainly aren’t too many staff, so when it’s busy, everything goes a bit slower, but most of the time it hasn’t been much of a problem for me.

One thing I will point out and get out the way immediately, is the lack of staff. Every time I come here I see the poor handful of staff working there day and night who have to be jacks of all trades. One minute they service at the Bowling counter, the shoe hire section, then they’re running over to the café area to make hot dogs and serve there, then over to the gaming area and then the laser skirmish, the list goes on. They probably even clean the toilets. And are constantly apologising as they’ll be will us in a minute and despite being run off their feet they make the effort to be friendly. So come on you ‘owners’ you really have no idea what you’ve got and put on extra staff… at least during school holidays! So there now that’s out the road.
Renovated not so long ago with immense improvement to the bowling alley plus adding a new fitness centre and an indoor laser skirmish centre, very nice. My family and I have been to the centre many times for birthday parties, either bowling or kids going rampant in the laser skirmish area and later spending their hard earned pocket money at the games arcade.
There’s something soothing about bowling, almost zen like maybe that’s taking it too far, but it gives me pleasure in pretending it’s a despised enemies head, so gratifying.

It’s not like there are a hundred thousand bowling alleys to choose from in Adelaide, which is why it’s lucky AMF Bowling is a rather good one.
The bowling’s the usual business. The lane’s are all of sufficient quality, etc., etc., and the shoes’ll serve you well and the balls will roll with sufficient poise and purpose. The atmosphere mostly relies upon the crown you’re with.
But there’s laser skirmish! Laser skirmish in a bowling alley! If you actually get BORED of bowling (which almost never happens. You run out of cash before you run out of fun), you can shoot some lasers around. And if you get BORED of that, there’s arcade games and skill-​testers.
There’s a lot to do at AMF. It certainly outdoes its competition.

I love the giant skittle on the roof of AMF bowling, and despite a slight re vamp in recent times, the skittle has stuck it out for years. Rain or shine.
In the few times I have been here since my childhood, I would have to say that AMF is still a bit of fun, definitely suited to the younger however it is still a good little bowling arena. Besides, surely you’re never too old for bowling. They even have some trendy gadget designed to roll your bowling ball down in hopes for an easy strike. Plus bumpers. I love bumpers.
As a child I celebrated my tenth (maybe eleventh) birthday here, and it was great. Despite a good decade or so that has passed since then, I would have to conclude that not much has really changed, and provided kids still like bowling parties, this place is a good one of the sort.
I would actually also recommend fella’s taking a girl here for a date for something different, yet in a very typical way of different, ie. Bowling for a date, really? They do that? Just hope she likes hotdogs and chips, and brings a spare pair of socks.

Perfect for the kids and adults alike. With a ten pin bowling, laser skirmish room, arcade games and café, this is an excellent venue for Family Nights, parties, corporate outings and more!
This branch underwent a makeover some months back, so you can expect a clean and sleek interior. You can almost sense the high energy here as you step indoors, and will immediately add to the height of excitement and fun.
The one thing AMF is good for is kids birthday parties and they do it well. With a good party package, all you need to do is ensure the guests shows up on time and bring the birthday child, with cake in tow.
An appointed party host takes care of the rest. I hosted my son’s party here and picked the combo package of bowling and laser skirmish. Needless to say, the boys had an awesome time and was pleading for more games.
Strategically located on Cross Road and with four other branches across Adelaide, AMF is the perfect family outing.
