Along Wanneroo Road there is a large area of bushland fenced off but open to the pedestrian public known as the«Warwick open space.» The signage also says«observe and conserve» so I’m putting 2 with 2 and thinking that this is a conservation park designed to allow native plants and animals to flourish in a protected environment. As it is a fairly large area of land that has been set aside for this initiative and I saw a few walking tracks leading into I did a little bit more research to find that it is about 58 square kilometres of «open space» which may be slightly misleading considering the entire area is blanketed with thick scrub and a forest of eucalypts. A great place to explore should you be interested in the bush– relatively close to major shopping centres(centro and Kingsway) but easily able to transport you to an outback space with insinuated seclusion.
