Do you like your curries with rich «gravy»? I just had an eggplant curry & vegetable navratan korma (cashew flavoured sauce), naan, and some onion bhajas from Saffron & Spice in Victoria Park, and. they get 5 well-​deserved stars from me. I should have ordered some rice too because the sauce for each dish was beautifully rich and tasty. Although Vic Park already has plenty of food choices, S&S is a worthy competitor. The décor may be modern: a sharp, orange theme colour and framed photographs — no Taj Mahal tapestries with diamantes in sight — but the food is straight out of the emperor’s kitchen. S&S bills itself as an Indian/​Malaysian restaurant, and it’s good to have the choice. Maybe next time I’ll try the mee goreng?
