My 2nd favourite Indian(after the copper chimney in Fremantle) be warned we asked for it spicy the first time we went as we weren’t sure how hot it would be as perth curry can be quite mild, and we nearly died! Don’t ask for extra chilli lol

We were booked here while there was a group of 60 people being served in the front section, and they still exceeding our food and service expectations. The service was really good including: moving us away from the large group when requested before we sat down, accurately describing food, very patiently dealing with a diner who dislikes Indian food, freely adjusting our order when we realised ordered too much rice, and overcompensating us for delayed service with a bottle of wine. The food was really good. Every dish we had, particularly the goat curry and the kulfi, tasted fresh and full of flavour. I definitely want to return, but only order 1 rice per 2 people.

Always loved this place, combination of good food and good vibe makes it a definite winner on the Vic Park strip. We haven’t been for a while and the head chef is now owner operator. He’s super friendly and very hands on. We thought he was just a friendly waiter till we were saying goodbye and got the full story. He’s Malaysian Indian so now that he’s got full control his menu is adding a bit more Malaysian flavour. Apparently that means fresher, fuller flavour and we were not disappointed. This restaurant really manages to stand apart from the crowd with it’s different flavours and character.

After being refused service at a local restaurant(we arrived too late for Monday night meal) we stumbled across Cinnamon on the Park, and I’m so glad we did. The five of us enjoyed the entrée platter which was tasty and beautifully presented. We all ordered different main dishes, and they didn’t disappoint. Our group regularly orders vegetarian curries, and the chickpea based dish was full of flavour! A wonderful find & I can’t wait to go back.

Cinnamon was a coincidental foodgasm for us. We first walked into another favorite along Albany Highway but my pregnant friend’s cravings were all about Indian spices and Bollywood tunes, so I took them to Cinnamon. I had never been before, but I pretended that I did and told them it was great food and atmosphere so to hype my friends up… and you know what — I wasn’t exposed! The service was very friendly; owner is a genuinely funny guy who will talk to you like he’d talk to a friend. I really enjoy that in restaurants; it almost feels the same as having dinner at a friends place. We ordered a few drinks which came out as quickly as a premature duckling. Then we picked dishes that we could almost understand; safe options like tandoori chicken and such, and oh my… the food was spot on! Flavors not overpowering but really strong. Meat as tender as it gets. Main courses are not massive sizes so it’s an idea to have rice or naan on the side(beef one is amaze!) but the dishes are fulfilling. Since our first visit, we have been regularly visiting the place. Such service and food quality is to be experienced once or twice, at reasonable prices. You can also sit by the window and do a bit of human watching whilst sipping on your beverage.

Renovated and revamped! I came to Cinnamon about a year ago and the food was fantastic, but now it’s gone and had a renovation. The front half is a bar and tapas, the back is the Indian restaurant. I think the combination works great and it’s fantastic to see the owners actively trying to attract a new, younger crowd to already fantastic food. Well done guys!

Best Indian in vic park. Love the mixed platter entrée — it’s perfect size for if u r having dinner with 4 people — very filling. Nice service and medium meal prices.

Got some takeaway food from here recently. When I arrived I was kinda impressed by the atmosphere in the place and was already thinking that I would have to come and dine in at a later date. It was a midweek night and looked pretty busy. There were still tables available though — they must be able to fit quite a crowd in. Our food took as long as the dude on the phone said it would. And we did get the complimentary popadoms. I totally did not speed home to a couple suburbs away listening to some real old Thelonious Monk like a misplaced Saab driver in my shitty 20 year old hilux, because $ 50 for two curries, some rice and a couple of naans is such a freaking bargain it really doesn’t matter whether its all hot or not when I walk back in to my wife’s stomach talking, Buffy watching minorplex about eight minutes later. Isnt’t it? Anywayz. The food was alright. — plain naan was good — garlic naan was not so good(OTT garlic that tasted raw) — popadoms were good! — raita was plain and boring tasting; I ain’t no Indian chef, but mine tastes better — Kashmir pulao was ok. I liked the softened chewy nuts in it — the fish malabari was too creamy. It certainly didn’t exude a taste of «freshly ground coconut». Which is not to say that we were deceived, but the woman of the house was excited to taste this, then disappointed to have tasted it. I would assume a South Indian curry with a two chillies indicative rating to be hotter than it was; I clearly do not perceive these scales very well. — the achari gosht was better. I was sort of glad to get a mouthful of cinnamon bark in my first scoff. This time the two chillies was about where I would expect it to be, hotter than the other two chillies. Hmmm. I dunno. All up, the food is certainly ok. I prefer my food with more robust flavours I guess. Our homemade curries are done from scratch and there be many bits and pieces floating round in them — and they are as aromatic as we can make them. The curries we got from here are not exactly like that. I would probably come and dine here to give it another go, as the place looked inviting. But I reckon I would explain to the waitstaff that I expected hot spicy well seasoned food, and not tamed down middling kind of food. Sorry for rabbling on .

Oh, this and the Jewel of the Park are so great. Them being so close together is my NUMBERONE first world problem. How can you choose between places you love equally. The flavours of every single dish I’ve had have been outstanding, and for those that want even more you can get adventurous chutneys and dips to go along with the meals. The service is super friendly, but every now and then it can become a tad slow; the only time this has happened with me is when it was exceptionally busy and our table was literally forgotten. I think everyone thought our order had been taken but it hadn’t, it was a critical miss but throughout the dozens of times I have been here I normally have my mains within 45 minutes. So it is rarity. I went with my family and we ordered a stack of dishes and just did the family-share routine which worked a treat, and came out being relatively cheap too. I couldn’t believe how full I was at the end of the meal, I couldn’t really remember eating that much. I think that is, in part, due to the fun atmosphere that is present within this lovely, warm little Restaurant, I wasn’t focusing on eating but rather just having a good time. I loved it. I’d definitely recommend this place to any Indian Cuisine lovers.

It was as if I died and went to Indian food heaven! Sooo yummy! Love this restaurant. Delicious, delicious food. Every dish is totally infused with flavour and the meat is always super tender and moist. The vegetable dishes are also divine! The Na-an bread is really tasty-the garlic butter is the nicest, although the cheese one is nice if you like it very cheesy :) It is really nice to go with a small group so you can order and eat family style and try a lot of dishes. The mango chutney and yogurt dips are a beautiful compliment to any dish you might order. I totally love this place right down to the lovely wait staff and super service! The atmosphere is great and the ambiance is lovely too(casual but a little bit fancy) Can’t wait to go back :)
