I love Starbucks! I think Brisbane is severely lacking in Starbucks locations, but the Mt Gravatt one is fantastic! The bagels and cakes are delicious, and the frappuccinos are amazing. The staff are super friendly and it’s a very quiet and comfortable atmosphere with quick service. Great coffee experience!

OK I admit I did have a brief moment where I was pretty much done with Starbucks here(*see previous reviews); however the magic has been rekindled and I am now comfortably numb again! So to set the scene — It were morning, 0912 hours to be exact; I had never been to this mall before so I casually stroll in with a friend and took the opportunity to dispose of my gum in a nearby trash receptacle when BINGBAM… I noticed the unmistakeable white lid and green goddess smiling back up at me. My heart sinks, there’s a faint wisp of a squeal and I’m pretty sure a little tinkle came out… they have a Starbucks here… no doubt — where else would it have come from? Surely no-one ordered a Starbucks in the City and drove all the way to Mt Gravatt to place it teasingly in a bin. There’s a new hope I feel, I turn to my friend who looks dazed and confused and say, ‘Do you know what they have here?’ She gushed and the proverbial hit the fan — we were like sniffer dogs looking for a score. Well we didn’t have to hunt far, as round the corner there she was — ELATION! What a delicious looking store, modern, sleek and inviting! The open corner location is so welcoming as you can just breeze in without being smacked in the face by a heavy, greasy door. We were warmly greeted and we promptly ordered… now I’ve had some bother recently using my rewards card and this occasion was no exception. Naturally my stars are worth schmidt here and the rewards too. However I’d thought I’d mention that I have a free drink on the card and wait for the inevitable decline response. Well I have to say the chap behind the counter was a diamond geezer! He explained that Starbucks Australia doesn’t sign up to the scheme but he granted me a free beverage anyway. I was gob smacked… what a delight to hear. What a true purveyor of traditional customer values. The food we ordered was fresh and sensually warmed to perfection, the drinks — my goodness were so quick to be delivered, the open seating area was a delight and the jazzy, relaxing music just delectably finished me off. I was like a pig in some sort of waste product. What a bleedin’ change I tell thee. Kudos to the staff and I can truly say without hesitation visit THIS Starbucks, it delivers premium quality coffee at affordable prices… delish! Anyway I better wrap this up before I start to ramble…*cough* Enjoy :)

Starbucks has landed on the south side! Garden City now has it’s own member of the Starbucks family within it’s lengthy walls. Located up the older end of the centre near the cinemas Starbucks dominated the corner facing out towards David Jones and the food court. Quite large and decked out fancy woodwork it firs nicely into the vibe they’re trying to create down the«foodie» end of the centre. Staff seem well trained in Starbucks faves and everything over the counter looks shiny clean and above board. For those of us hopelessly addicted it’s a win, since it’s hard to screw up sacchrine laced coffee.
