I’ve been here only the once(maybe it’s twice, actually), but I was quite happy with my experience. I only really had a cappuccino. If you haven’t read my other reviews, this is pretty much my standard order at cafes. I’m a simple man with simple tastes, but I do appreciate the difference between crappy coffee and good coffee. This place is alright, coffee-wise. The staff are lovely, and definitely quick at getting your order out.

There is more than a few options for a coffee at Mitcham Square, but I’d have to say this place is one of my favourites. To start with, the service is great. Fast, and accurate, you’re not waiting around for ages for your food, and service is always done with a smile. The coffee is pretty good, once again it’s done with decent beans and the milk is heated to the right temp. The seating area is big, and spacious, and everything looks nice and clean.

There is some tough competition when it comes to café’s the Mitcham Shops. Café Xenia is your closest to old school deli style goodness. Home style sandwiches, roles and a big breakfast are some of your best bets whilst eating here. The setting itself is kept simple, and nothing too flash. The staff are friendly, and able to create a decent coffee. Ample seating is provided, with its closet competitor being the Billy Baxters just across the isle. I would probably opt for Café Xenia if I were you if ever faced with the option of these two cafes. Especially if it’s for an efficient feed. Nothing too fancy here, just decent food in a decent scene.
