Because this place is local, I really want to like it, but unfortunately, it is a real disappointment. Lovely service, but the food is not very good at all. We tried three different pizzas, and there was nothing subtle or special about them. Loads of cheese(although some people might like this), and it didn’t taste like very good cheese. The toppings did not seem at all fresh. The base didn’t impress, either. Actually, two hours after eating half a pizza, I still feel quite«bleagh». I don’t think I’m their target market — I’ve had a lot of pizza in my time, and have moved on from the cheese, cheese, and more cheese style. They have tried very hard to offer an Italian atmosphere, but pizzas in Italy simply are nothing like this. Pizza bases should be crispy and light, toppings should be subtle(and never more than three or four), and cheese should be good quality. That said, the pizzas are 10″ which is a good size if you are very hungry and the pricing is very reasonable. Sadly, despite its proximity, I won’t be back.
