This is my local pizza place and i am ever so grateful to live so close to such a superb pizza place. I can’t get over how amazing the No. 26 pizza is. Which consist of gorgonzola and leeks. Totally blew me away. If you forget to bring cash with you, the service station next door has an ATM. I imagine a high percentage of its usage is by I Carusi’s patrons.

Fantastic pizza. We go back time and time again. The base is perfect from the edge to the centre. No bubbled or burnt edges. Perfect amount of toppings, very fresh & placed in the correct spot so they don’t all end up in the middle. Always hot and quick. Service is always very friendly. Eat in is cute and cozy with a nice atmosphere. They have special dessert pizzas and good salads too. A must try.

Not an overly fancy looking place but the pizza is superb! Location could be better but quality of food makes it worth going there.

Whenever someone asks where can we go for good pizza or I am to entertain a weekend visitor I always recommended I Carusi, it simply rolls off the tongue. If I was to judge solely on its Pizza this would be as good as it gets! Its first shop opened on Holmes Street Brunswick and if you blink you miss it, which I have done many times. Its exterior is not the most aesthetically pleasing but it’s those who are regulars and are lovers of old school Italian ‘cool’ knows that rarely matters. It’s all about who and what’s behind the kitchen that is the real deal! Their second store appropriately named I Carusi II offers a similar lay out, same menu and similar atmosphere. Both the St Kilda Store and the Brunswick store work off a cash only basis and they prefer that you book in advance to avoid disappointment. If you get a chance to look at the menu online I recommend it as there is so much to choose from you will feel you have to give credit to everything! This is why dining in a larger group heightens the I I Carusi experience as share plates are a great way to get started followed by a mix-match array of many pizza choices. I would highly recommend the Salmone — Tomato Base, Marscapone, Smoked Salmone and Fish Roe with Dill. The Americano, Quattro Formaggi and the Speciale –Tomato, mozzarella, soppressa, roasted peppers, artichokes & olives. Who am I kidding I’ve tried them all… even the Margherita is amazing. Pizza is priced at around $ 15 – 20 and servings are generouse. Dessert Pizza is also a favorite with Nutella calzone and white chocolate and peach! Yum.

Beneath the hanging sign consisting of a pizza tray with a screen printed logo stands a pizza place like no other this side of Albion St. Tables and chairs often fill inside for dinner, good for groups and youngers. The selection of menu items includes a marvelous pumpkin masterpiece, and I’m yet to come across a pizza base dry and dead. All of it is magical, and for those not wanting to dine in the take away is also a great option.
