Great food, especially the soft shell crab that I ordered was fantastic. The one letdown was beer selection. You figure that for a place that started out bringing German beer to Bangkok, then Singapore and now Sydney, they would have had better beer selection

Delicious Tom ka gai. They have a lovely lunch menu for $ 9 where you get an app, main, and drink or for $ 12 you can get a(simple) glass of wine. Friendly servers, quick meal delivery to the table, and nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

This place is awesome. Amazing service and great food. I ordered the scallops, which were delicious. The waitress noticed they were a bit spicy for me and brought over a complimentary drink to help me out – haha. I loved it. I would definitely go back. Bonus: gluten free and knowledgeable about it.

If you’re looking for a quick lunch that’s cheap, tastes good and is in the middle of the CBD, then look no further people because you have found it right here. They currently have ‘Express Lunch Deals’ for $ 9.50, that includes a selected menu of main courses + entrée(e.g. 1 spring roll/prawn cake/crab cake) + can of soft drink. It’s really hard to find a complete set lunch for any cheaper or tastier. I had the Guay Teow Kua Gai($ 10.50), which was stir fried rice noodle with chicken and squid. It was quite tasty, but the squid looked kind of weird, with a pinkish colour. The portion was a healthy size that left me nice and full at the end. Thai food is quite competitive around the CBD but this one’s ambience, modern décor and setting makes it one of the better ones. Would I come back? Probably, but only after I’ve tried all the other ones.

Do you like German food? Or perhaps Thai food? How about both?! This Thai restaurant makes German inspired Thai dishes(think German pork belly with Thai sauce), but also has normal Thai dishes(the Somtum isn’t too bad) and also sells crazy amounts of beer like German restaurants do by the litre(and cheap). So recommend not having drinks first before coming here or you may not be able to have another litre of beer.(Or maybe that’s a challenge who knows?!). Return factor? Probably good when you can’t decide what sort of food you want — because hey why not have both.
