I’m a big fan of Chinta Ria, particularly the restaurant on Acland Street in St Kilda. Sassy’s is my favourite place for take away in the city. I live close enough to take it home.

Thought it was a good sign when all the patrons were Asian. Very simple looking place and pleasant. Wouldn’t have thought about having lunch here but glad I did. Not a huge portion for the cost but I’d happily come back for more. Big fan on Malaysian curry and it was very nice. Next time I’ll lash out for some roti to finish it off.

Pretty decent food. I always get their«Billy» dish which is basically a rice noodle dish with vietnamese style bbq chicken. Dish is rather tasty, but lacks a little in the chilli stakes which is why I guess they have all the condiments on the counter so people can help themselves. Good value for only $ 12 and if you’re like me and you want extra meat it’s only a $ 2 extra.

Always my favourite choice when I come to Sydney. Love their Mee Goreng! The best I’ve ever had. Great service and reasonably priced.

This was my first visit to Sassy’s Red Café. I had a large fresh soup with prawns, chicken and vermicelli noodles. My friends had fried noodle dish and curried chicken & rice. The dishes all looked and tasted great, the service was quick and meals were piping hot. I liked the décor. It had an authentic Asian/Malaysian look and feel. Seating was comfortable. Sassy’s was very busy at lunchtime Saturday — in itself a good sign. Would highly recommend it. Meals are generally $ 15 and under. Busy place, good atmosphere.

Wow. I think Sydney is one of the few places outside Asia itself, where you can get roti canai from a foodcourt. And I did exactly that at Sassy’s Red, located on Level 5 of Westfield Sydney. With a glass of Teh Tarik(Malaysian hot milk tea). It was a satisfying afternoon snack/light meal. The roti canai looked impressive, kinda similar to the ones at Mamak, but the taste was a bit disappointing. It wasn’t as fluffy and a bit more chewy. Also they gave you only one curry option. The Teh Tarik was good — but you can’t go wrong with tea in condensed milk ;) I would definitely come back to try the heavier meals, to see if its on par with what they serve at Chinta Ria(who own Sassy’s Red). But from first impressions, food is good and it stands its ground in the plethora of takeaway outlets that take residence on Level 5.

Sassy’s Red Café is among the trendy food court of the CBD Westfield and it is basically Malaysian fast food and it certainly was fast. I placed my order and was handed one of those electronic buzzer thingy’s, then the plate of food was placed in front of me in about two seconds before the buzzer even had a chance to buzz, quite impressive as they were busy too. I ordered Beef Rendang, with the option of roti or rice as a side, I selected rice. The Rendang was good, not exceptional, but good, not too spicy either, which suited me at the time. However the portion was a little small, it didn’t really fill me up, one or two more cubes of meat would have made me happier.
