This place was packed, I mean jam packed. One of the gauge I use when I rate the restaurants is price to taste ratio. The chicken katsu curry was off the charts. Def must visit place

Please forgive me Oiden for I have forsaken you. There’s a new Japanese rice bowl in my heart and I no longer crave you. If there’s one thing I love more than baby pandas, Hawaiian poke and pizza. it’s gotta be a good rice bowl joint, but not just any rice bowl… Japanese rice bowl and RICEWORKSHOPISKING!!! A serendipitous discovery as my friends and I were looking for a place to eat. Located in the«booshie» food court(not to be mistaken for the«standard» food court below Myers) of Sydney Westfield, it has a prominent location in the gamut of other ethnic and specialty food stalls. There’s nothing fancy about the décor. It’s just simple, clean and well-maintained. What caught my eye was another customer picking up her order and her bowl looked AMAZING so I asked what she ordered. It was the SPICYSALMONKARAAGE Bowl — lightly fried salmon chunks drizzled with their delicious spicy mayo sauce over a bed of rice, salad, corn and ginger. MmMMMmmm. I’m craving a bowl right now!!! And I just had one 5 hours ago!!! haha! There’s something about this place that’s so addicting. it could be the crack(jk) or it could be the MEGAFRESSSSHHHHHHHH ingredients they use. The queue during lunch rush is ridiculous, but it moves quickly. From order to pick up, the food is expedited at a rate that would put the Millennium Falcon to shame. Want extra spicy mayo??? No worries!!! Sauce bottles are available at pick-up along with your utensils and take-away container lids. so efficient! I got a chance to speak with Rice Workshop’s sweet manager Monica. She said the owner David first opened Rice Workshop in Melbourne but now plans to open 5 more throughout Westfield’s in Sydney. if only they can open one next to my work, I would eat there… E V E R Y D A Y ! ! ! !
