Chrysler Café is ideal for when you head into the city on the weekend and are looking for a decent coffee and some breakfast before taking on the challenge of the shops in Pitt Street mall. Coffee is very good No, extremely good. The scrambled eggs with bacon, tomato and toast for around $ 10 is not bad when you compare it to other city cafés in the area. The bistro tables and chairs are planted right in the middle of the arcade(under the sunny glass atrium), which, you may find weird in the first instance but then you sit back and realise that, hey, thus is actually cosmopolitan and cool watching folk brush past you.

they have seem to justify the Chrysler name by being behind their competition, like much of the competitive car industry. This little café is tucked within the inside mall that connects Pitt Street mall, in Sydney Arcade. It’s a beautiful mall, as the skylight above give heaps of natural light. The stools & coffee tables are situated outside other shops within the passage way, which makes for a very public dining experience. The café mainly serves sandwiches, pastries & coffee, and isn’t particularly good on either aspect. The best part about this café, is that on the weekend it opens early, well before any other café in the area, and therefore got my weekend caffeine vote when I had to get to work early in the City

I don’t much fancy the car variety, but you can get me a Chrysler coffee. This espresso bar is tucked away in the Sydney arcade — slightly off the beaten track from Pitt Street Mall. It’s mercifully away from the rush(and the buskers) on the Mall, so if you can grab a seat outside, it’s a good spot to stop for lunch, and maybe even a cheeky glass of wine. At almost $ 15, the sandwiches at Chrysler sure aren’t cheap. So it’s a good thing that they’re almost as big as cars! I’ve happily shared one, and unless you’re crazy hungry, I’d suggest you do the same. If you’re happy to pay a premium for alfresco dining, then this is a handy place to keep in mind if you’re in town. It certainly beats eating in a food court.
