Gourmet café’s are all the rage these days, but Boscage does it right. The food is beautiful and on point, and the prices are reasonable as well. Came here Sunday with a group of 4, and we were promptly seated around 10am for their all day breakfast. The service was only OK, seemed like people were running around all over the place but that was the only major issue. You can order a small coffee or large(get the large) unless you want something slightly larger than a piccolo. The gruyère scrambled eggs don’t look like much, but they’re extremely fluffy and cheesy. If you’re hankering for something sweet, get the black rice porridge… but if you want the star of the show, get the chorizo scotch eggs. Hnnggghhhh… I’m pretty curious to try their lunch menu, so I can see myself coming back. Gluten free is also available for those with intolerances.

You know that dream where you fall face first, mouth wide open into a giant fondue set? Well this is where you live that dream out. The Gruyère scrambled eggs are out of this world — it’s like the chefs robbed their next door neighbours Formaggi Occelo of all their cheese and put it in an omelette. Soft and stringy with melted cheese and just set, their omelette is hell for lactose intolerant folks but heaven for the rest of us. There’s a sparsity of sides on first look but by the end of it you understand why — this flavour bomb kept me full well past dinner. Boscage prides itself on making everything from scratch, from their sourdough to the syrups in the milkshakes, and boy are they all the better for it. My friend had a bacon and egg muffin — on HOUSE-MADEENGLISHMUFFINS!!! Her review — it tasted handmade. Not just home-made, but house made. Like those market stall gozleme where you can taste the Turkish lady in the hand rolled dough. The service is everything you want it to be — casual, unrushed but efficient and knowledgable. Our waitress had tried almost all the items on the menu(lucky thing!) and was able to guide us to what met our needs and preferences. Coffees are done well with Five Senses beans and the list of sodas and shakes are almost tempting enough to steer my caffeine-addicted self away from coffee. I hear they’ll be opening for dinner soon — watch out Boscage, I only work around the corner!
