Really lovely neighbourhood café! Came here for a quick lunch and some down time and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food was really delicious, I’m on a health kick so I had the super greens salad but I had a good sticky beak at a few other tables and all the food looked divine. I would definitely say that there’s something for everyone and they cater to a lot if not all dietary requirements and fads. The atmosphere was really cool, felt like popping over to a nice neighbour’s house for a chat and a coffee. The front was your usual bar seating /café, the shed has a few a nice rustic touches but the courtyard was the serious winner. Wasn’t idea today as it had just rained all morning but I could really see it working on a nice summer afternoon. There were quite a few patrons with their canine friends out there which is a big thumbs up from me! The staff were really nice and bubbly although a little rundown when we first got there(1:20, the end of the lunch rush), but overall super friendly vibe!

Summary: STEERCLEAR I went in to do some work on my laptop and have a coffee and pastry. I asked one of the servers if there was an outlet I could use for my laptop and she told me to use one that was taped up. I double checked to make sure this was ok and she said it was. The owner then came out and told me that it was taped up for a reason and I shouldn’t be removing it. When I explained his server told me I could, he continued on that she shouldn’t and that people will sit there on one cup of coffee using all of the wifi. Considering my plan was to have a coffee, a pastry, and use the wifi I decided it was best to leave. I can’t judge the food or the coffee, but I can say that based on the absolutely terrible service that I had, I will not be back.

Went there as I was waiting for a friend close by. Just had a coffee which was good. They seem to have a nice terrace outside which I’m guessing will super nice in the summer. Staff was not very friendly so gave it a 3 Star.

I should have combined my daily dog walk with a visit to the Neighbours as they are dog friendly, human friendly and make a good cappuccino. The décor is a little like a St Kilda community garden or a Lo-fi Northcote hang out which is nice for those of us needing down cycled hipster ambience on the weekend.

This little gem is like a secret exposed on chapel & inkerman because once inside you are faced with gorgeous chefs and lovely waitresses, a beautiful outdoor & undercover courtyard. The food choice is amazing and tasty and the ambience is refreshing. My 1st time here and definitely not my last!

This is an underrated local café. While the front bar is a bit awkward to back courtyard is lovely. Coffee always lovely as is the food.

Great chai latte, really good BLAT sandwich on gluten free bread. Nice outdoor seating. I’d give it five stars but our service was really spotty. Our waitress was nice when she was around, but kept forgetting basic things then served us and we had to ask for basic stuff like napkins and silverware. Will definitely go again and try breakfast.

Been here twice so far and always received a warm greeting. The staff may appear on the young side but they seem to uphold most of the virtues of hospitality. Which means smiling and greeting and being attentive to everyone who walks in. Coffees actually pretty good, well just how I like it actually. Gravity espresso from a Synesso machine. Does the last line make me sound like a coffee aficionado? Just as you enter there’s the takeaway counter and beside it is the very very open kitchen. You don’t really see much of the nitty gritty as there’s the high counter and also theres just stacks of plates(clean ones) amongst other things blocking your view. But it’s got a good exhaust going so you don’t come out smelling of food. Definitely serving the neighbourhood this one. Oh and the courtyards got a nice vibe. Basic and raw and edgy but this part of St Kilda runs on that edge. Only gripe is that my lunch of pancakes with the lot took FOREVER to arrive. Only one chef I could see manning the fort. You feel bad for them like that. Perhaps on the weekends they’ve got more chefs? Anyway the pancakes(two I think) came swimming in maple syrup, with a sunny side up egg, bacon and chorizo. Yum yum yumm.

What a neat little café to enjoy an outdoor breaky. Upon first glance, you may confuse this place for a teeny tiny corner shop catering only for take away coffees, but if you take a step inside, you’ll be surprised to discover a large indoor/outdoor dining area complete with heaters and a green leafy garden. It was very busy on the weekend as most cafes are in the area, but we did not have to wait very long for a table. The menu offered a variety of delicious options and the food lived up to the description. Service was a bit sloppy and disorganised as we had to ask for menus and water and received the wrong table’s bill, but nonetheless the staff were friendly. It has the potential for 4 stars if the service picked up their slack.
