Glass Merchant

Fast and friendly service paired with good coffee and excellent food. Main central stable with stools is rather uncomfortable, that’s about the only negative.

PROS
Delicious hearty food
Food is fairly priced given the quality of ingredients and size portion
Café has a rustic and retro feel
there is a retro game machine with Pacman, need I say more
CONS
It was difficult to find since from the outside Glass Merchant looked like an old store, not a café
Finding parking was a nightmare

Glass Merchants has the warehouse feel going on.
Was great for a group of 9 people as we got there at 9am on a Sunday.
Service before it got busy was good, but when it got busy I had to play try and get the attention of any wait staff to order another coffee but gave up after 20 mins. Was a shame as the coffee was good.
We all tried different items on the menu, everyone enjoyed the food, Lady Merchant, Porridge, GM smoked eggs, fruit toast and DIY Avo. The DIY Avo was exactly as named, which was a bit annoying having to have a deconstructed breakfast only to have to put it all together again on a wooden board.
Would I return, sure thing, food tasty and good coffee but I think there are better places nearby.
