When I first moved to Brisbane I had no idea where anything was or what to expect the city to be like. This lead me to one of those all annoying problems of blindly booking a hotel in the city and just hoping for the best. Ive done this in the past and some of the time the pictures online do not really stack up to what you get. So hoping for the best I booked the Quattro on Astor hotel. This time however I was more than pleasantly surprised, the first thing I was impressed with was the location. It was on Astor terrace which is close to the CBD but you are not swarmed by people going to work and it’s just out of the way of the weekend crowds. The room was also very impressive with all new and modern furniture and it had two bedrooms and a small kitchenette. The balcony was great too as it could hold 8 people comfortably and had great views of the city. There was also a pool on the roof which was perfect for the crazy humid summer days when only a pool can get out of the humidity. They have a reception area but because it’s more of a catered apartment effect they do leave at 5 pm every day and don’t work on Sundays.
