My partner and I stopped in for lunch during our Sunday drive around the area. The menu is a mish-mash of cuisines and we were a little taken aback at the higher-than-average café prices but just assumed this would reflect the quality of the meal. I ordered the pumpkin, blue cheese and caramelised onion open grill sandwich($ 22) and my partner the seafood basket($ 34). When my meal arrived, I felt cheated of my $ 22… it was two small pieces of turkish bread with a thin smear of pumpkin(it honestly looked like they’d rummaged up just enough pumpkin they found leftover in the kitchen). Although quite a tasty combination, I felt as though I ate a meal of turkish bread as there just weren’t enough toppings to classify as a «sandwich». My partners seafood basket was unsalted, deep-fried cheap seafood that tasted more like flour-y batter than seafood. Sorely disappointed and will not be returning. Perhaps a nice place to stop for tea and scones, but I wouldn’t recommend dining/ordering any substantial meal…

Finding a good coffee in an unexpected place in late afternoon was wonderful. Nice environment and variety of cakes are also nice.

For the prices you’d expect table service. If you do, you’ll be waiting for a long time. Otherwise, meh, it’s reasonable for breakfast. p. s., cyclists: put some pants on.

Great quiet little place… dogs allowed in outside dining area… good strong coffee… healthy fresh juices — ABC juice is awesome and the revive was pretty yummy too… i had the eggs benny and it was amazing not a scrap left on my plate — thou one of my eggs was just over done the other was spot on… my parent had the pancakes — he normally doesn’t eat a lot but he cleaned the plate up too… we went on the public holiday and got hit with a 15% surcharge which is fair and the prices were reasonable… will defs be heading back there soon :)

This is a decent little café that would only get 3 stars from me in any other location, however due to the absolute dearth of decent breakfast options in this area it gets an extra star from me. The dead cute Queenslander is lovely and open with a great park /glimpse of sea view outlook. As it’s high on the bluff there’s also a decent breeze. I went on a public holiday, so had to pay a surcharge but that’s pretty standard. I shared a vegie fry up and pancakes with a friend, the eggs were soft poached(yay!) and the mushrooms and spinach were garlicky and tasty. Hash browns were also a nice touch. The pancakes were fluffy with a giant ball of ice cream. Shame the syrup was completely fake, but for less than $ 10 a serve what do you expect?
