The Tien Giang Quan is a small but popular restaurant that relies on word of mouth from friends of friends of the owner to get people to dine at this place. I ordered a Vietnamese pancake with arrived after 10 minutes. The pancake wasn’t too bad, not too oily but was missing some key ingredients. The vegetable accompanying the pancake looked like it was dead due to the hot weather and the fish sauce was tasteless. The restaurant isn’t very attractive. The tables weren’t cleaned and they could have placed a tablecloth to cover it up. There won’t any table napkins or anywhere for me to clean my hands after I ate my meal. The staffs were very friendly but there isn’t anything that is attractive about this restaurant that would make me come back.

Tien Giang Quang is a small little Vietnamese restaurant on the corner of Regency and Days Road. For a tiny little suburban shopping complex, there sure are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants. Unlike nearby shops that seem to focus on phở, or banh mi, Tien Giang Quang has a pretty varied list of options. I haven’t really tried too much, except for the Bun Mam, some kind of fish noodle soup. It was alright, but it didn’t blow me away like a good bowl of phở. Usually I pop in to get a takeaway custard apple smoothie, it’s perfect for a hot day. The ladies who work here are super friendly, and always have huge smiles. They’re the best thing about popping in.
