So I had the lamb dish for $A16. It was pleasant but a bit of a downgrade from what I was expecting. The salad was better, but it had a strong sense of ginger. All things considered Cubbyhouse is well located away from the huddle that is usual for The Spot, and it has good French window views of the street.

Been here with a group and had the buffet menu (think its mandatory when there are more then 15 people? Not sure.).
Its like tapas, they keep bringing out delicious dishes like king fish, pork belly and AMAZING grilled haloumi.
Can’t wait to get back and try out all the dishes without sharing them. Also a special note too the amazing comfy chairs they got!
