Big Al’s Nuts is a great nuts, grains, legume and spice store. Stocking a great range of continental ingredients at reasonable prices — you can’t go wrong opting to shop at Big Al’s Nuts. I like getting my herbs and spices from here in particular. At $ 2 for 80g for most spices, you will find that Big Al’s Nuts is one of the cheaper places out there to spice up your pantry. They also sell bulk coffee for low prices. They have about 8 different blends available. I have only tried their house blend and I didn’t find it amazing. It was good but not super fresh. Regardless I always come away from Big Al’s Nuts with a great many exciting ingredients at almost half the price I would pay the average supermarket.

You’ll know from my review of Ross’s Quality Nuts that I am a big fan of nut shops and Big Al’s Nuts is one of my favourites. This is the first time that I’ve reviewed a man’s big nuts before so bear with me… Selling an incredible range of nuts, seeds, pulses, grains and legumes in bulk along with Turkish delight, dried fruit, herbs and spices and freshly ground coffee, I find Big Al’s Nuts almost irresistible. The quality is awesome, the range is mind boggling and the staff are so saccharinely sweet that they might just belong in the confectionary aisle. Al’s is fortuitously located on the periphery of the incredible Preston Market and as such is a great place to stock up on spices and bulk foods to go alongside your produce and meat. I literally can’t fathom visiting Preston without a stop to peruse Big Al’s Nuts. They’re that good.
