A hidden gem at King’s Cross. Their offering is simple: shawarma/wraps. The special thing is, they’ve got different styles in terms of ingredients and flavours, ranging from the original Beiruti to Anatolian and Phoenician. Simple stuff done really well. Highly recommended for an easy meal.

Mafi Mitlo is seriously a cool joint thats actually worth visiting just to experience how a place gets labelled Cool. Walking into the restaurant your lead down stairs to what looks like an underground army base. Its full of barrels, gun designs on the walls. They have seriously gone all out on the army style theme and they have absolutely nailed it. The walls are full of awesome Army murals. So you will be in here for five minutes just admiring the layout before realizing its actually a restaurant and you are here to eat. They serve simple Shawrama /Moroccan Kazbah Street Food. The menu is on the wall and offer plenty of options from kebab style, meat plates, salads and even some sweet treats. I opted for the lamb plate with a kale salad. The lamb could come with chips, bread and some sauces for an extra $ 5.80 but i decided i would combine the lamb with the salad and it worked perfectly. The meat plates are 200g so good portion. The Kale Salad was really good choice, it combined Kale and Tabbouleh which worked great with the lamb. Service was good too with friendly staff who served the food quickly and with a smile. Serve alcohol here too so its a good spot for casual style dinner or lunch with funky environment.

What a winner! I saw Jade’s Unilocal review for this place and bookmarked it right away, I love me some middle eastern food and this place delivers in a big way. It feels like going down into a really fun, clean nightclub, there’s ace graffiti murals on the walls, camo barrels, apparel you can buy, and lots of little nooks and crannies fitted with big friendly wooden tables to plonk yourself at. The food is, well, it’s right up my alley. Sizzling hot grilled meats — I had the pork neck — dished up in pita bread in different middle eastern styles with pickled vegetables and sauces and such, or on a plate with garlicky toum, hommous, tabouli, warm pita pieces, and hot chips. Ask for their mazing chilli sauce on the side, it’s unmissable! The lady who served me was super friendly and down for a chat, which I really appreciated. They have nice juices in stock too, mine was a bottled mandarin juice. Oh and they sell beer. Get into this place, it wasn’t busy when I went mid-arvo on a Friday but it really should be because they got it going on.

Newish shawarma/street food place in King’s Cross. Came here and the place wasn’t that packed… and now I know why. While the people working were really nice, this place is seriously understaffed or they’re just extremely slow. We waited about 5 minutes before someone came to the counter to take our order… and once we ordered, it took about 30 minutes to get our food. The concept of this place is pretty cool, you choose a shawarma and pick a filling(pork, chicken, lamb, fish, falalel) and then the style you want, from Beiruti, Phoenician, Anatolian, Athenian, and Ottoman… then lebanese bread or a pita. It’s too bad the delivery isn’t very good. They did give us some three pieces of bread and dip while we were waiting which was nice, but the food was a bit disappointing. We ordered the pork Beiruti style and the lamb Anatolian style. For waiting 30 minutes, you’d expect the food to be fresh and hot, but our meat was lukewarm at best, and the bread was cold to touch… so it was probably just sitting out and not freshly made. I liked the Anatolian style more than Beiruti, but I also liked the pork more than the lamb. Either way, won’t be back.

This place does awesome food. Moroccan inspired street food is their jam, and I love the fact you can customize your own Schwarma sandwiches. My person favorite is the pork Schwarma with Phoenician salad. Definitely worth visiting

It makes me sad this place has been open for 6 months or so and there still aren’t any Unilocal reviews on it! This place is right next to my apartment and we find ourselves going there whenever we need a quick bite to eat. The menu has gone through a few changes since we first tried it out, but the food is awesome! Basically, it’s a fast casual restaurant serving all different kinds of Shwarma and Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food. I always get the pork in Lebanese bread, done Phoenician style, which is with a great sauce and halumi! Definitely need to give this place a go if you haven’t. There never seems to be many people in there and I don’t want them to go out of business.
