So I stopped here with a mate while we were waiting for a food place to open to fill in some time on a Sat Arvo. We had a few bevvies…(Beers and Ciders) to fill in the time. What can I say. the service was on par with most places, staff friendly and helpful. Lovely and clean. Good Pub Décor, there’s not much more one could want from a Local Pub. Add a good selection of beers and wines etc., even from local SA small breweries such as Pirate Life and Big Shed and some great Orchard Crush Ciders. Just what we wanted… We didn’t stop to eat, but I’ll HAPPILY go back to give that a go, seeing some of the meals that came out. NICE. Things like a 2 person seafood platter. to sliders. it all looked really nice. A great Port Adelaide Pub for sure.

The best beer on tap in the Port. My preference is the ginger beer(alcoholic) great place for a lazy lunch and few drinks.

It was a busy day but they got us a table. The meals took around 50 minutes to come out but we were at the end of the lunchtime rush. The fish and chips was not worth the wait. Chips were not hot. The burger was good value but I doubt the pattie was made in house. There was a commercial/preservative taste to it. Pizzas were average quality but good quantity. The review would have been higher if the wait wasn’t so long.

I say don’t judge a book by its cover. People often rubbish the port, but I can say that The Lighthouse is a gem. Meals are reasonably priced and come with free salad bar including salads and roast vegetables. The roast potatoes are very much to die for! On a summers day the atmosphere is good.

I really enjoyed my experience at the Lighthouse Hotel. My partner and I were wandering through Port Adelaide during the day and were after lunch. We were commenting on how little was going on in Port Adelaide compared to the happening place it used to be. The lighthouse hotel was quiet, but we caught them just as lunch was closing and managed to order fish and chips and the home made clam chowder. For a great price, the chowder — unique to the Lighthouse hotel came out in a large, gutted bread cob AND. TASTED. DELICIOUS. The great thing about it was the use of the bread as dipping as you ate the brilliantly tasty chowder centre. We tried the beers, a Lighthouse special micro — brew, which was refreshing and had a great taste. When we asked to the bar man about where we could get the beer, he proudly stated that it was his own. A quiet little hotel, we really enjoyed the food and the drinks.

This is a nice little hotel that faces the lighthouse. I came along with friends for an informal get together and really enjoyed myself. The fact that the lighthouse is right in front of you and the river just behind it provides a nice atmosphere and give you something to talk about. You can also see the boat tours and we decided to go over to one of those after. We didn’t stay for a meal, just drinks mainly. We did order some of their exquisite cheese and mustard bread. I first had this menu item at the Two Wells hotel a long time ago. It wasn’t a menu item, I just know someone who works there and he made it for me. It’s such a rare thing to see and tastes great! Definitely a great little place to stop by for a drink

The Lighthouse Hotel is conveniently located just next to the lighthouse in Port Adelaide. The big plus is the location because, from the terrace out front, you can observe tourists rushing to and from dolphin cruises, seagulls, fishermen and everything else you would find next to a river. Service was quick and friendly and although we only had drinks here, their food menu seemed nice in terms of selection: dips, oysters, pizza, seafood and meat, with most dishes ranging between $ 15-$ 25.

This«haunted» pub offers good beer and great views of Port Adelaide and the nearby lighthouse. It’s a great place to visit on a lazy afternoon, or for a good night out. MEALS The meals aren’t bad either. There’s something for most dietary requirements. Me and my mates enjoyed sharing the shaved parmesan and seeded mustard butter on baked foccacia slices, and the garlic prawn and vegetarian pizzas. There was good selection of meals for kids, although they mostly came with chips. ENTERTAINMENT The pub also regularly has live bands and DJs perform at the premises. GAMING There’s a gaming section for those who like to gamble. SERVICE The service is friendly and efficient. HISTORY The pub was opened in 1857. Unfortunately, the widening of McLaren wharf causes the demolition of the first hotel in 1935. The hotel’s name only dates from 2009, a reworking of a previous Noughties name change, the Lighthouse Inn, and is a nod to the close proximity to the historic Port Adelaide lighthouse. The pub has had several name changes over the years, but its original one was the Exchange Hotel, according to the hotel records. GHOST There’s allegedly a resident ghost called Hamish who plays tricks on people in the pub.
