Cute little courtyard — lovely to chill out and have a coffee. Free wifi which is great! Offer almond milk for those like me avoiding dairy. On the pricey side for a coffee($ 5.50 for an almond milk cappuccino) but the wifi makes it worth it.

Pre-ordered breakfast for ten people. The food arrived on time, exactly as ordered and we all left feeling quite pleased with our choice for a breakfast spot.

My love for 5 senses coffee runs deep into the North East(Bindoon Bakery) and Tiger Tiger serves it up best in Perth. I come everyday for the consistently made coffee which I unfortunately usually find hard in this city. Average typical Perth prices. The downer on the place is the food prices. $ 11 for a bagel that’s been in the fridge a while just makes me miss New York so much more. That said it still tasted fresh and delicious. I would love it if they did a simple $ 5 – 7 egg/bacon muffin and coffee like on the east coast. Anyway I will still be here everyday for coffee.

I’m a pretty big fan of Tiger Tiger’s location. Tucked down a rustic laneway off Murray Street, it has inviting hidden feel to it. The coffees are great. I’ve had a couple of good soy flat whites from here post yoga on a Saturday. Food-wise, I was a little underwhelmed by the price and presentation of the brunch I had there. I had corn fritters with a fresh salsa and poached egg. While the flavours were fresh and it all tasted great, it only came with one, small and flat corn fritter, and the salsa scattered around the plate. All for $ 21. It just wasn’t value for money for me. I’ll be back for coffee, maybe not for the food.

Tiger2 is a cute little place in a small alleyway just west of the CBD. It’s well shaded and funky with older furniture, some rusted signs on the brick walls, & lots of potted plants. Our brekky took ages to come out, despite only half of the tables being occupied when we arrived & ordered. The grilled mushroom with Brie was very nice with a had great rye toast. However, the poached egg($ 4 extra) was wayyy overdone. The smashed avo tasted light & fresh but the toast was meh(way too basic). Same story on the eggs here. Coffees(latte & mach) were ok; a bit on the bitter end of the spectrum. This brekky wasn’t worth the $ 50 we paid.

Whenever I am in Perth, I make time to duck down the lane off Murray Street and have a coffee at Tiger, Tiger. Free wifi, a leafy courtyard and the best coffee Perth makes it the perfect place to get some work done or just people watch.

Great coffee and a funky laid back environment. Step down this alley and you will forget that you are in the city. Always playing great music and they have excellent breakfast. I love coming here before work and having my last 30 minutes of bliss before I start my crazy day. Thanks Tiger Tiger! Rarrrahhh!

For me, simple poached eggs are a good reference point for judging breakfasts at a café. Big tick at this funky little alleyway kaff. Perfect and prompt. Also had a good boccocinni and prosciutto salad at lunch a few days later.

There’s only one thing a brekky bandit hates. It’s that moment when your avocado and poached eggs on rye comes and sitting atop is something that resembles more a solid white pool ball than an egg. You poke at it, hoping that you see some sign of runny yolky goodness inside, but it barely quivers. That’s right. It’s a boiled egg… Unforgiveable stuff.

Cool little café tucked away in an alley off Murray St inviting you in with a few couches and seating for more than what this inconspicuously hidden gem would seem to cater for. My first coffee in Perth definitely sealed the deal that I was in for a foodie adventure… The prelude of what was to come, excitement!

Tiger Tiger will always have a soft spot in my heart after moving to Perth in 2008 it was the first decent coffee house we found! Over the years it has experimented with being a small bar, cigar friendly nights, interesting food choices, an array of interesting(friendly) staff and more! It still best represents lane way culture in my book; with people huddled under heaters outside in winter or basking in the sun in summer and the bohemian feel of the indoor area with coffee sacks on the wall as art is cool. It helps they still make a good coffee today and the poached eggs are still nice; plus if you come later in the day they have some interesting beer choices too. Next time you in the area, despite the number of similar places I recommend checking out one it out.

I have something of a love/hate relationship with Tiger, Tiger. Ok maybe hate is too strong a word, maybe more of a love/frustration relationship. The reason for this — the food is great, the coffee is amazing, the selection of drinks(particularly wine) is wide and the ambience is excellent but I find time after time that the service is pretentious and sometimes downright rude. But I keep coming back for the espresso martini ;) Breakfast is great with a good range of scrummy options but not much on the gluten-free front. At lunch there are a few more options for GF. The coffee is always spot on and if you’re a wine connoisseur you’re going to go all weak in the knees over the selection. Tiger, tiger has a great feel to it — laneway dining area, second hand/retro tables and chairs with little pot plants to boot. I just wish the owner would take a more proactive approach to getting their staff to smile!

Coffee was nice… ordered the special and after 25 minute wait they came to tell me they had run out. Food was below average — way over priced for the quality and portion size. I wouldn’t eat there again.

dropped in to the place after a session at the Apple store on Hay St. What drew me in was the comfortable looking atmosphere from the street as we passed by. We(me and two of my kids) were warmly greeted and offered a seat outside. The waitress that promptly came over to the table was very nice and looked after us extremely well. The kids had an awesome ice chocolate drink thingy and I had a flat white. The choc drink was a big hit and filled them up fast. We ordered warm banana bread and the fruit salad. Both scored big points with us. It nice to see Perth getting some good, funky places serving excellent food and making use use of otherwise dead space in the city. Well done! The photos here are not a good representation of a cool place.

Always love Tiger Tiger for a good hearty brekkie(THICK cuts of toasts with awesome beans and eggs, who wouldn’t love this?!), and fantastic coffee. One of the few places that has a $ 4 coffee for a good size cup too. Yummo! I love tiger. :)

This place is often in the top 5 of coffee for Perth. And it shows, in the mornings the hoards of workers in their suits turn up to drink their morning coffee before drudging off to work. It is just off Murry St, down an alley. Follow the smell of freshly roasted coffee. I like to wait til a little later in the day, when the workers are gone and I can sit in the corner savouring my coffee and using the free wi-fi to surf the web.

Back in its zenith, when Perth was a little less cultured on the fine art of barista coffee, Tiger Tiger was pretty much the only known place to do a decent brew. Since those days, there are many more options in its near distance that make coffee as well, or I daresay, better. What Tiger Tiger do have going for it however, is they provide a peaceful, hideaway setting for you to sit, eat and hash away on your lap top at too(yep, free Wii-fi). The food is a little bit experimental and rustic like the cafés appearance itself. The ‘Tiger, Tiger’ is a winner; poached eggs with avocado and sourdough, draped with this delicious Rasamond sauce, which is sort of a mix of sweet chutney and mayonnaise — delish. Unlike my other coffee faithfuls in the city, Tiger Tiger are open on weekends too.

I first stumbled upon Tiger Tiger in all my innocence, a fresh new young adult searching for a cup of tea with a friend. We fell down the laneway where it is situated and were captivated by its aroma of coffee, sounds of live musicians and beautiful murals on the walls. Tiger Tiger is a place that can fulfill most of your needs and wants, it’s a space where people go to catch up with friends for breakfast, unwind after a long day of work with a glass of wine, take away a quality cup of coffee on the run fueling the day ahead, read a book with a cup of tea and soak up the artistic atmosphere. They provide a space for art to thrive and be created within. Their coffee is made with love and care and they offer barista courses to anybody interested, out of a genuine want to share their talent and know how of beautiful coffee. As well as amazing tea and coffee on offer, they also have an impressive wine list. Created using a wealth of knowledge and experience they have put together a list with wines direct from Milhinch Winery in the Barossa Valley, so whether it’s a glass with lunch or an evening out Tiger Tiger is also a great space to go to for wine. Their creativity spreads to their food, it is mostly sourced from local WA producers and tastes as good as the attention with which it was made. They serve up breakfasts Monday through to Saturday. On Sundays they offer the perfect hangover cure… Bloody Mary’s, along with a BBQ and Little Creatures pale ale on tap. So after a crazy Saturday night and a long lie in, head to Tiger Tiger where they will look after you! It is a café where you will find artists sketching, friends laughing, writers writing and musicians playing, it is where you can go to taste something new and different and satisfy that craving.

Tiger Tiger is a small café tucked in a laneway just off Murray Street. It shares the laneway with another café, Secret Garden. Like Secret Garden, Tiger Tiger is mostly outdoors seating, with wooden benches and tables that seemed to have been kidnapped from parks. However, the wooden benches and tables match the casually hip and elegant décor of Tiger Tiger, with its colourful murals on the walls and hand-written chalkboard menu above the counter. Tiger Tiger’s focus is on drinks, and especially coffee. In that regard, it shines, with strong, flavoursome coffee balanced with just the right amount of cream. There is also a range of alcoholic drinks for those looking to while away a pleasant afternoon over a beer or wine. Food-wise, Tiger Tiger is fairly average. Their most substantial meals are breakfast, which is served until midday. After midday, you will have to settle for muffins or cake. Tiger Tiger is a nice place to mull over a great coffee or a cool alcoholic drink, with a relaxed vibe. Its location means that it is easily accessible, yet shielded from the noise of the busy streets.
