Holy Cow– the place is cool! Located inside the State library on the Mezzanine level is a fun filled playground for children who love to learn while they play. There is only one thing that stands between you and the gates to the place.. . and that is a blue, life size cow in a full body suit of illustrations from 22 classic story books(I know this because I proudly souvenired the«books that Moove me» brochure that visually disects the cow.) The place is the librarys’ «fun central» with a loft like set up unto itself, this playpen is full of cushions, books, toys(aka: tools for learning) a large caterpilla to climb over and the BIGGEST connect four game I’ve ever seen.. . but none of this was of interest to me after I discovered dress up corner! Not just poxy potato sack, scrap felt old boxers dress ups either, I’m talking head to toe glittery dragon get up!!! This space facilitates a fun fest which promotes and encourages children to learn while allowing parents to let loose a little, in a controlled(but at times chaotic) environment. In addition to all of this, the Place also hosts several library run activities. During the school holidays it’s a «fishy» theme– this will include talks from established illustrators and also allow children to contribute to a mural! Finally a wall that children(and children at heart) can paint, fearlessly! If educated fun is your thing– this is certainly THE Place!
