How good is Vietnamese food. This place goes all the classics like goi, bahn mi as well an array of rice paper rolls with original fillings. I had the tofu and pickled carrot and the barramundi with avo. With a dozen types of rice paper rolls as well as several choices of sauce this place is a taste fiend’s delight. Good for an instant feed between meetings.

Awesome ‘takeaway’ Vietnamese food. My favourites include the Sweet Potato Fries or the Lemongrass Beef ‘The B’ with noodles. Service is pretty quick and usually you can find somewhere to sit in store or in the area outside it.

Cute, little Vietnamese restaurant with a fit out quite pleasing to the eye. Unfortunately, the flavours don’t seem to live up to all of its promises. Don’t get me wrong, while the ingredients are all fresh and vibrant, they seem to lack that home style flavour that gives a Vietnamese dish its authenticity. While their soldiers and phở are lack-lustre, the one thing that keeps me coming back are their delicious sweet potato fries. Sure, it may not be a Vietnamese dish, they’re certainly a winner in my books as an all-day snack.

I was super excited when I learned there was a Vietnamese Street Food restaurant going in so close to work. I have been to Roll’d on a number of occasions now trialling The B.(Vietnamese Salad), Soldiers(ricepaper rolls) and Mr. Bun Mee(Banh Mi). To be honest the food here is a bit hit and miss for me. I have one Vietnamese Restaurant in the CBD which I use as a benchmark and their standard of food is exceptional and I am yet to come close to this one of late trialing others. The Good: There is a great selection of food here with options of both rice and vermicelli noodles on offer in the dishes that contain them. They have a separate pick up point for the Soldiers which you can dash in and out of quite quickly. A few different rice paper roll selections including a tasty barramundi was good to see — these are rice paper rolls with a twist however but not really traditional. The Not So Good: My Banh Mi was stone cold, cold bread, cold chicken, and very oversauced. The Bad: Quite a pricey option as far as Vietnamese Food goes with the Phở tipping the scales at almost $ 12.00. A bit too much of a «take-away» franchise for my liking — I prefer my Viet food to be more traditional. I can’t say I have ever seen sweet potato fries on a Vietnamese menu. Not all bad but not outstanding, and may still be finding it’s feet in the Perth market. Heavy patronised at lunchtime so try being early or late if you want to order quickly.

Best Vietnamese ‘street-food’ option in Perth! It’s all good and quick, bowl of sticky vietnamese rice a grilled pork is awesome!

Roll’d is a great place for a quick bite, as long as you get there early — it gets pretty busy and the queues can be long. I tried the rice & noodle bowls, and much preferred the rice as I wasn’t expecting the noodles to be cold. Banh mi is better across the road at City Provisions. Love the crispy chicken ribs & spring rolls! Be very clear when you order, my workmate received the wrong order twice, and it seemed like I knew the menu better than the assistant on one occasion.

Spotted someone left more than half a bowl of Phở on the table while I was queuing up to order. Why these people wasted their food! I am a Phở lover, I tried many Phở from different Vietnamese restaurant. But the Phở here was the worst I had ever tasted. The soup base is not hot enough, so that the noodles was like stick together, feels like eating instant noodles. I am sure they didn’t cook the noodles in boiling water before serve. Soup is too salty and can taste the MSG as I felt super thirsty after that. This is not a bowl of Phở should taste like. The paper roll is very disappointing too, part of the skin is thick and dry, it’s very hard to chew, the Hoisin sauce tastes very sour and weird. What I only love about this place is their shop fitout design, I may go back to try other dishes but definitely not Phở & paper roll anymore.

Rocked into Rôlld on Friday and I was very much impressed with this new eatery at Cloisters Square. It is Vietnamese food with a twist! On offer are soldiers(rice paper rolls), soups, salads and drinks. There is an emphasis on freshness so you can rest assured as to the quality of the food. My daughter and I decided to try a soldier each and opted for the soft shell crab and the barramundi. Check out the menu as there are many delicious choices when it comes to the fillings. You are offered a free sauce and we chose the chilli oil. They were the best rice paper rolls we have ever tasted! Bursting with flavour and freshness and so satisfying! Will definitely return to try the other options and perhaps the soup. I think it is fantastic that you have the option of choosing the number of rolls you want. There is the standard range and for the health conscious a low carb range. It is a well lit space with beautiful lighting. A fun venue to catch up with friends to have a quick lunch. The service was amazing! They offered to make up a special roll for me without onion and our order was ready within minutes. I can hardly wait to go back again and try everything!
