I was really looking forward to seeing one of their Cabaret Shows, and last night I finally made it, and was deeply underwhelmed. I bought a $ 60 ticket that included a three course set menu. Both the food and the acts were a real mixed bag in terms of quality, from really good(the Compere was great) to really sub-par(the main was terrible, as was the male stripper). But it was a few operational issues that let it all down. The timings listed on the website are Start: 7pm Finish 10pm. I assumed this meant the show and dinner started at 7 and showed up at 6:45, hungry and ready to begin. However this actually meant doors open at 7pm. People ordering off the menu ate their entire meals while waiting for the show to begin, while those of us on the set menu didn’t get served untill 8pm, and the show started shortly after. That was an hour of being hungry and bored. The entrée wasn’t that filling, and my hunger and frustration totally distracted me from the first acts. It was another hour before the main, and the mood was kind of spoiled by that point. Everyone in the crowd either looked hungry and frustrated or just absolutely wasted. I think if I’d known to show up at 7:45 and order off the menu it would have been a pretty decent, affordable night out, but as it was the operational capacity of the restaurant and staff really let down the show, and I didn’t have a particularly enjoyable evening.

We’ve been to Rigby’s twice now to watch shows. The first time we went we were walking up and down St. George’s Terrace with our phones, arguing trying to locate it with no luck until a nice smart young man saw our plight and stepped in to show us the way! :) He said«Rigby’s is like watching a show put on at your local Cricket a Club». Hrmmm I thought, harsh! Surely not? Rigbys is set in an interesting position, a lovely old building surrounded by beautiful gardens and features but enclosed by the impressive modern office buildings and lots of glass, it really is in a nice location, but difficult to find without assistance(well, we thought anyway). Rigby’s has two parts, the bar upstairs with seating outside and a function room downstairs which is what we have been too. Guess what? It IS like being transported to your local village cricket club/rugby club/function suite: D Very uninspiring, no natural light and rather a surprising place considering the rest of the area. The stage, lighting and the PA was poor and amateurish when we went(both nights). We ordered the set menu with our tickets and got the show and a three course meal for $ 60.00 each per night we went. The food was OK, basic, nothing to dislike and the kitchen and waiting staff were very helpful with my irrational phobia of cream! The staff really are great at Rigby’s, very helpful indeed. So this is a no frills establishment, we had a laugh or two with good prices for basic food. I can’t really fault Rigby’s that much as the staff are great, the food is ok, and the prices are so reasonable! We will be back to sample upstairs soon.

Well what can I say? Rigby’s is a pretty stock standard pub with all your usual beers on tap. They have $ 10 Steaks with chips and gravy on the menu which aren’t a bad way to fulfill your carnivorous urges but all in all it’s a pretty basic New York cut charred medium and chucked on a plate. There isn’t much in the way of atmosphere, even with the old pub rebuilt inside the Forrest Centre, so if you are looking for somewhere fancy this isn’t it, but if you want a quick feed and an unpretentious beer with some mates after work it might be right up your alley.

If it weren’t for the Fringe Festival I never would have known about this place. I had no idea there was anywhere in Perth that did dinner shows. The staff are friendly and courteous and work well with the show that was on. Would definitely return for a dinner show.

This is an OK place. I picked here as it was close to my customers that I wanted to take. Initially I wanted to visit the Bistro but this was closed in a Tuesday, go figure. The bar was pretty scarse, although in their defence we did arrive pretty early. What strikes me is the lack of atmosphere in the place, it just all seemed some what wrong. There were also no menus available and food was listed on q big black board on the wall, ideally I would have liked to have been able to sit sit down with my customers and talk over what we wanted to eat. I had a salad with Cajun Beef, it was adequate and my guests all had the steak(as they do when there not paying :)) The steak was greeted with mixed reviews and to be honest I thought it looked very very poor, no real time had been put into preparation to make it even look appetising. The pricing was average for Perth which makes it a bit easier to swallow. I was also irritated that that there was no table service, again I would have expected more. All in all a great location, with average food and an average approach to looking after people. I wouldn’t return

Rigby’s is one of those places which is made by its location rather than any other feature about the place. It’s smack in the middle of Perth’s oil and gas territory in West Perth and if you work up this end of town it’ll be the easy place to go when you want a drink with a client or a relaxing drink after work. Prices reflect the location but aren’t quite as outrageous as the swankier venues nearby. It is strongly recommended to avoid Friday afternoons, when you’ll struggle to find standing room among the suits corralled, literally, by oil & gas company name. It’s deafening and the faint smell of petroleum can render you a bit nauseous. Staff are generally friendly and helpful.

I’ve been to Rigby’s on a few occasions now. It really depends on when you go, after work on a Friday and it’s packed with more suits than David Jones, Myers and the BankWest tower put together. This makes for a lively evening, but service really suffers. I went after work this week and it was quite and cheap, perfect for catching up with friends who work in town. Just be careful when you go.
