Great location, cool bar, with absolutely the best burger ever. You have to try the lunch time«Hood Burger» with the works — sadly only at lunch time. House made patties, Cajun battered onion rings, maple candied bacon, jalapeño and dill pickles. And the jalapeño mayo with the chips… amazing.

In the last month or so this place seems to have really upped its game. DJ on a Saturday night, regular happy hour and a lunch special of the week. Great vibe for after work drinks and located near the Perth Arena for post-gig boozing. Staff are super friendly and are more than happy to help you pick a the right drink. The cocktail menu has also recently been updated, and they change up their guest beer on tap regularly.

So from food aspects, it is almost like the perfect lunch meeting place in the heart of the CBD. A definite watering hole post-work while also having an option for delicious quality food using a wonderful selection of produce. It also helps that the staff there are so friendly and cheery. During the day, the Howling’s Bar also has a little café for those busy bees appropriately named The Dispensary Café that serves«to-go» meals and coffee(it also offers gluten free and vegetarian meals at the café). The bar boosts about 8 beer taps, a few cider ones, has premium wines(the Shiraz that was served on their launch night — the beautiful Hesketh«Midday Somewhere» Shiraz is smooth, velvety, easy shiraz without that massive peppery hit. if Shiraz isn’t your usual red, you should give this one a go) and of course, a bar isn’t complete without cocktails, and Howling’s Bar has a fine selection indeed. I especially love the«Gingernut Sour» which is a combination of Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur, Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur, lemon, sugar and a little bit of egg white, garnished with fresh gingerbread. There are many varieties of beers, wines and spirits, you would have to be one fussy snobby drinker to not find something you like.

Tried the new kid on the block last night! Great experience overall. They don’t do table service but the waitress’s were happy enough to take our food order and drinks for us as they were not too busy that night. Set up was a lil strange with a great section of the place dedicated to tables and chairs for dinning but looking at the menu there wasn’t a great choice of mains to pick from. But saying that do have some scrumptious sides/snacks to share. Perfect for those who love share plates/tapas over a few drinks. I had the pulled pork burger with habenaro salsa for mains. Moist and juicy pork with a good hit of chilli — thanks to it’s union/hab salsa.(If you are not a fan of chilli you can remove the shaved habeneros). Wedges that came with it were just your usual, standard wedges nothing great but the chimmi churri sauce saved it. Also sampled the Vietnamese poached chicken(sorry no photo for this). It was a lovely and refreshing dish. Lightly dressed with lime and fish sauce heaps of fresh ingredients. They have a huge drinks too! Overall, definitely returning again. Good job newbie.
