Periscope

Periscope is a lovely high end boutique nestled in Northbridge, strange location considering most of the stores around it are either vintage or knick knack stores. However it is a lovely discovery and a sign that Northbridge is definitely going to be the next up and coming area for fashion and all things cool. The store is filled with bright light because of its big wide windows which allow the amazing colours of the garments to stand out even more, there is a big white cabinet in the middle of the store filled with beautiful and creative jewellery and I just love the old dark wooden floor boards in contrast to the new white walls and modern clothes.
Half way through the shop the atmosphere changes as the same dark floor boards then cover the walls and the ceiling, making a darker area with hanging industrial light bulbs and shelves which display awesome shoes and sunnies. The racks in the lighter section, are full of splendid and expensive garments by Willow, By Marlene Birger, Zambesi, Life with Bird, the amazing Gary Bigeni (just to name a few) and is definitely a must if you like contemporary clothes with simple lines but amazing fabrics and fits.
