Coffee wasn’t too bad. Had to wait for my wife’s tea and had to request it from the waitron(they forgot it) muffins were dry and when we requested butter, got charged 50c for a single butter. I’ll be avoiding this place in the future.

This café is like being in an episode of Eastenders in the early 90s. The food offering, apart from the fresh juices on offer, is pretty much what you would find on a menu in the 90s — pies, lasagna, pizza etc. That’s not necessarily a bad thing! The interior is pretty dated. I had a pot of tea for one before an event I was working, as it was the only café around that was open at 8am on a Saturday. The staff were nice, but what was not ideal is that you have to pay a fee to use eftpos or credit to pay for your meal, no matter how much you spend. I thought that was pretty outrageous.

There’s a good range of food on offer here. There’s service staff, but I’m not too sure what they do as customers must order at the counter then the Barrista delivers the coffee to the table. Reasonable coffee, served quickly and without fuss. It’s pricey though — $ 4.50 for a coffee, $ 5 for large. For all its extensive menu they don’t have any sparkling water at all.

I had«big breakfast» in this café on a Sunday morning. The meal was served within 10 minutes. The food was tasty, including two eggs, bacon, toast, sausage, mushroom, fried tomato, and two hash brown. I was very full and content after finishing my breakfast.

On a not so busy day food took ages to come, 1 steak sandwich 1 Blt 2 chicken avocado sandwiches over 40min. Food was overcooked and bland… Iced chocolate like water and tasted powered

Unilocal said it was closed today, but it was open when we walked past. Was a little hesitant at first, as it seemed more like a café than something that would serve a filling meal. The staff were very friendly, a fast talking, very cheerful lady helped us with what menu items would suit our needs. Vast menu, considering we had Someone allergic to mushroom, someone allergic to fish and someone allergic to gluten! We were all able to grab something to suit our crazy dietary needs– at 10pm no less! The food took around 15 minutes but was of surprisingly good quality, it wasn’t 5 star but it sure hit the spot, I ordered a basic chicken parmi, which was crispy, chicken juicy and chips beer battered, no complaints about it. Friends were all equally surprised with how well their meal was cooked, our server was also lovely. Would happily reccommend this lil’ place for nommy noms, be it late at night or a quiet dinner

There’s a lot of things to like about Breve but just as many holding it back. It’s, as far as I know, the only independent café on Murray Street mall that isn’t run by degenerates. Instead the staff are attractive hipsters who are very polite and patient dealing with the bogan hoards that inhabit this city. They seem to produce perfectly acceptable food and drink, suitable for any time of the day too. But it’s only that, acceptable, it’s not particularly fancy or better than I could whip up and home yet while it costs me about $ 3 per serving of spag bol, it costs Breve $ 17. The prices listed on the walls don’t seem to reflect the prices programmed into the till either and the hipster staff I’d happily inseminate are in no rush whatsoever to dole out some merely not awful coffee. I almost suspect the attraction may not be mutual.

I was first drawn to their all day breakfast menu, but my partner found the long miss matched menu very daunting. We had okay service. Ordered a triple berry waffle with ice cream and pork nachos with extra guacamole. Extremely disappointed when the food came out. My waffles had chunks of melon instead of berries. And my partners nachos looked like it was an after thought. Extra guacamole was a halved avocado. The wait staff accidentally brought us two servings of nachos, which we weren’t going to say no to. Once they realized their mistake they wanted us to pay for the extra! 1 out of 5 stars for food quality and inflated prices

Great location, coffee/teas are fine. I find their menu needs work, too mixed with cuisines from all over. Wheres the soul?

I wish I could say I was a fan of this place, but I’m not. The twice I’ve been here, I’ve had some genuinely unpleasant coffee and simple dishes done badly and charged at Perth’s world famous inflated prices. The only redeeming feature of this joint is its’ alcohol licence, but even this is not much consolation when the drinks are equally expensive as the food. Despite a flow of customers that I’d call more«consistent» than busy, food has taken ages to come out both times. Best avoided.

Yummy muffins and good coffee, sure what else do you want from a coffee shop. There’s outdoor seating on Murray Street which makes for good people watching. Its a bit refreshing to see a CBD café that isn’t a chain, especially as central as this one. Forgetting myself one afternoon I sat here with one latte for 90 minutes reading the paper. No-one asked me to move on which is always a nice sign.
