This place is very popular with the locals and the menu has got everything in it for all tastes. I highly recommend the onion rings and the steak. The customer service is ok and the décor is fresh and it’s always clean.

If you are looking for ribs, don’t waste your time or money. Two stars is being generous. Pros: nice outdoor seating area Next to a park prompt service Cons: price Service was a little pushy I’ve had better ribs at Outback in the States(and I’m not a fan of theirs) food is not fresh So I think I know ribs. I have lived in Chicago which is known for their ribs. I have also had some pretty fantastic ribs in the Sydney area before as well as in the UK. Ribs and Rumps probably has some if the worst ribs I have had given the price. I was excited to try this place and it was across the street from my hotel. They advertise that they have fantastic ribs, so I wanted to try it. When I arrived the outdoor seating area was about half full. I sat at a table that had only two chairs and when the staff came by to give me a menu, I was asked if I would sit at a different table that had only one chair. It was in an area that was not as protected, but I moved. The menu says to ask about the beer that is on tap. When I asked, I was told that they had no beer on tap, only bottles. Really? Fine, I ordered a bottled beer. When my beer arrived I placed an order for a half rack of pork ribs(they don’t have baby back, so I knew they would be bigger and a little chewier) Usually a half rack will leave me satisfied and not overfull. I had only had a couple of sips of beer and my food arrived. I kind of felt like I was at a McDonalds, it was that fast. So I knew that not much effort went into this meal. The sauce on the ribs was decent. A little sweet, but good. The ribs had barely any meat. I might as well had been buying bones for my dog to chew on. The meat that was there was a little chewy, but I expected that. I ordered the baked potatoes, which were decent. They were seasoned well. Nothing was hot. Everything seemed like it just sat in a warmer I ate everything and still felt hungry, so I was very disappointed when the bill came. $ 45 for a half rack or ribs and a beer. Even with a decent exchange rate, I felt like I was robbed. When I left, the table I was asked to move from was still empty. There are much better options in Parramatta.

In a great spot, good service and great menu. #17220g rump and pork ribs is my go to meal here and it’s awesome. Best ribs in Oz! Warning: go easy on entrees when getting full rack of ribs. No-one wants rib remorse.

Wanted to grab some dinner before seeing a show at the Riverside Theatre. Walked past plenty of spots on Eat Street, but it was a wet and stormy night so I opted for the eatery closest to the theatre. Once I’d started to dry off didn’t want to get resoaked before entering the theatre. Table for one. Staff were friendly. Also appreciated that they didn’t come and ask me six times if I was waiting for somebody. They must have some sort of system, as for a while the other 3 place settings were there, but they held back from the questions. I opted for a half serve of lamb ribs with baby potatoes.. .. Just because I could! I’m not a regular ribber, so not too much to compare, but looked great and tasted OK. Probably more fun with a group!

Went for early dinner on Friday night for my daughter’s birthday. Got in just before 6pm and we managed to get a table. I had a 400g rump steak medium rare with a side of fries and garden salad and my daughter chose the 350g rib eye medium rare. My steak was grilled to perfection but my daughter’s rib eye was cooked more rare than medium rare. Any other meat or cut of beef would have seen it go back for more cooking. She had fries and onion rings as sides. As much as we both enjoyed our meals, I had the overriding feeling that the cooking was overrated and meals were quite over-priced. With a beer and a coke the bill came to $ 93 which I thought was ridiculous for what you got. Didn’t try the ribs although they looked quite yummy. Maybe next time(maybe?). Service was good altho we were getting irritated that 2 – 3 different wait staff kept asking if everything was ok. Once would have been enough. Having now been here once, I wouldn’t be in a rush to come back. We didn’t feel we got value for money. Ambience and service was generally good however. Probably a «try once» kinda place.

We had dinner here and it looked fairly packed but they still seated us without a reservation. We had the herb baguette and South African farmers sausage for entrée which was the nicest tasting on the menu all night. But we got shredded beef burger and rumps steak for main which both became such a disappointment. The burger was sans any flavour of any kind. No sauce. Meat was actually cold and made me sick afterwards. Rump steak was overly flamed and overly bbqed, not at all like a medium rare steak should taste like. Wasn’t juicy, but dry and tasteless. Chips came with both meals. Dull chips. We ordered a side Greek salad in hope that would turn thing around, and yes it tasted better than the mains too! Surprisingly expensive for the quality of food, and we’re not afraid to pay the price for decent food but this wasn’t that. Definitely not coming back even if every restaurant in Parramatta went bankrupt and there was nothing left but this place. Good luck RnR :/

Went here for lunch on a not so busy NYE. Service was fast and friendly and the Chicken and Beef Rib Combo was awesome!
