Anyone who’s wandered into Darrell Lea will know it’s almost impossible to leave with your hands empty. If the sight of bright, sugary sweets and all your chocolate faves doesn’t grab you, the alluring aroma will surely be your downfall. I’m not a fan of the aniseed flavour, but for those who are liquorice lovers it’s generally accepted that they do the freshest and softest you can get. Also even I can appreciate the uniqueness of apple, strawberry and mango liquorice options. My favourite is the Rocklea Road which is the Darrell Lea version of Rocky Road. Best of all it comes in milk, dark, white and rum & raisin varieties. There’s something for everyone here. In a nutshell — for both the big and actual kids!

Two words: Rocklea Road.
As Michelle said, it’s Darrell Lea’s version of Rocky Road, and it’s available in a few different varieties. I usually just grab the milk chocolate version, and it’s awesome. I could live on it very happily, although I’d probably die of a massive heart attack within three months.
Raspberry licorice is also pretty awesome. I try to have a bag of it in the car for long road trips, as it gives you a little sugar hit when you really need it, and it’s probably better than nearly having a head-​on collision with a truck because you were too busy trying to find all the red ones in the bag of snakes that I’d otherwise normally buy.
Pretty typical retail service, staff are friendly enough, quick enough, and the prices are alright.
