I’ve been finding it very hard lately to walk past Charlesworth, a true test of inner strength. This is because I am addicted to the Salt&Vinegar Peanuts. Haven’t tried them? don’t, because it only takes one singular peanut to form a life long addiction, no amount of rehab will suffice. If I got to eat Charlesworth nuts every day I would be able to roll myself to the post office. it’s this Christmasy time of year especially that makes this store so fabulous, the gift baskets? I would step over my own mother just to get one, I know, you would too — it’s OK to admit this. It’s not just that, it’s the Apricot Squares too… my study snack, I’ve never been happier than when I’m eating apricot squares. The Charlesworth elves will sort you out when it comes to measuring and stuff, I generally just ask for so many dollars worth and they’ll convert it for you, I know nothing about grams.

Charlesworth is magic. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been stuck for a last-minute chrissy or birthday gift and whipped down there to grab a huge hamper full of yummy sweet and savoury treats. You walk into a group gathering with one of those babies in your arms and you’re going to know what love is. First there’s the nuts: roasted, salted, raw, mixed and on and on seemingly endlessly. Then there’s the balls, haha this is sounding cruder than intended. My fave is to get the chocolate covered raspberries and apricots in a mixed bag(half and half), up to whatever dollar amount you’re happy to spend. For most things you pay by the per 100gms and up. It’s a novelty to watch your server take their big silver scoop and measure it out for you on the scales, you don’t see that everyday anymore. In a nutshell — the best nuts and balls in town!
