This branch is one of the better ones of this chain. We came for a casual birthday and the service was lovely. The waiter saw our cake(to take home later) and offered to put it in the fridge during dinner. The food comes quickly and is reliable. We’ve been here a few times and always enjoy our meal.

Very average service and the food taste was awful. You could find a big piece of elettaria and other strange spices in the rice that I hated, it might be how Malaysian food is cooked or it is the way that is cooked here, either way it was horrible. Apart from one type of bread on my dish, I couldn’t eat any thing else.

I dined here a couple of months back and really enjoyed the food. It was beautifully cooked and presented but the noise level and the packed nature of the restraunt took away from the experience for me. They are packing people in so they are doing something right. I generally prefer smaller places without the noise and the crowds however I would go back again as the food was that good.

We’ve been eating here for quite some time and have always found it consistently good. They do the best Curry Laksa — very hot and intense — staff are pleasant and the ordering system is good because you fill in the docket yourself so no one to blame if the wrong thing arrives at your table!

I admit I was skeptical of this place. Restaurant chains are usually pretty bad, and mass market Asian food can be awful. But we were impressed. Needing a quick meal before performing at a nearby venue, we popped in and tried it out. The food was served quickly, and was very nice, tasty, spicy and good value. I would happily come back here many times for a quick bite to eat. This is not ‘fine dining’ and probably not the place to come if you want a long social meal. But for good food and good value it beats most other franchise outfits hands down. Because the portions are small and priced cheaply you can organize a good variety without over eating and come away with a very modest bill. The coffee was okay too.

this is newly opened at Nunawading Brand Smart. I’ve been to Glen Waverley and Doncaster branches but i like this best as it’s not as busy yet(went on monday afternoon) and still. No waiting line for lunch. Good Malaysian cuisine. Serving is moderate. enough for 1. good service. If there are any feedbacks for this chain restaurant operator. please keep your venue clean and grease free. I have stop going back to few malaysian restaurants as they cant seemed to keep their cleanliness at an acceptable level ie greasy furniture, dirty toilets.

This PappaRich restaurant is located on Whitehorse Road in Nunanwading. I went there with my parents for dinner as they had just come back from vacation and I hadn’t seen them since January. The night was pretty cold and as with any PappaRich restaurant we had to wait outside for a table and was given a ticket stub to hold onto. There wasn’t any seating for patrons who were waiting which was frustrating because the crowd to get in seemed to get bigger which meant that people were just lining up and not taking a number. Luck was against us as 3 tables which were perfect for the group sizes behind us freed up and they let those groups in. We were the very last of the big crowd to be seated as we were a party size of 3. I orded my usual Chicken Curry Laksa, Hokkien Mee only with a side serving of Steamed Chicken. PappaRich didn’t let me down with it’s usual semi authentic taste and the speed at which the food came out was really fast. If you’ve ever been to PappaRich, this is just like all the rest of them. If you’ve never been, it’s worth giving them a try. They do the best franchised Malaysian style food.

Food is ‘ok’…prices suck for small servings so value is not good. They also want to charge extra 2 dollars to change to different thinner type of noodle. No ability to customise meal due to stupid franchise restrictions. Overall this franchise is overrated and I have tried 3 locations, this will be my last.

PappaRich goodness has hit Nunawadding, some might say the area doesn’t need it with Box Hill down the road and quite a few smaller Singaporean /Malaysian places nearby but… I say, «Bring it on!». I still think PappaRich does fantastic Roti Kaya and Nasi Lemak. Today’s Nasi Lemak did not let me down, beautiful pieces of chicken in the chicken curry with a good mix of sauce, dry anchovies, peanuts and half a boiled egg. *drrrooooooollll* I love you PappaRich!
