I must say, I’m pleasantly surprised by this Spotlight — it is COMPLETELY different from any other Spotlight I have visited, and a vast improvement of the one it has replaced. This Spotlight and clean and tidy(yes, you did read that correctly!) — I’m serious! You are not tripping over rolls of material, or sorting through supplies that have fallen to the floor. There is a fresh feel to this Spotlight … and it wasn’t just when it first opened(I admit I was cynical at first) — it’s still like that now! Anyway, I’d better talk about the stock — it’s as vast as any Spotlight, lots of wool(mainly acrylic, but that’s to be expected), more books than the average Spotlight(and they’re making an effort to stock more ‘funky’ titles), haberdashery, home furnishings, and of course material. A lot of good craft kits for kiddies. The checkouts are faster than the average Spotlight too — staff seem more efficient … is that because their surroundings are nicer? All in all, a nice surprise ;)

So Spotlight now have a nice new store at Noarlunga instead of the older one they used to have basically across the road from this one. It still has all the great same stock but it’s just a nicer store to be in and easier to get around and still be able to see your way out. I have bought some great block out curtain material here, just cut to size and hang, no need to sew hems or anything. That’s my kind of curtain! I also managed to get some great replacement eyes for one of my child’s soft toys. They have some great art and craft type things, and some things you would probably never even know existed. It’s also one of the few places you can still easily get the old paint by numbers kits I loved as a kid. You can also get some great easy latch hook kits, which I also loved as a kid. Maybe this is why I like the store, reminiscing on my childhood!
