The Noarlunga Leisure Center is an excellent swimming pool and gym facility. They have an excellent range of activities to keep people occupied and it is also quite affordable at around $ 11-$ 17 entry depending on the package and time. They have a kids pool which have pool depths ranging from 15cm-90cm in depth. These also have mushrooms that spray water into the surrounding pools too. The areas are sectioned off using foam chains, like the lanes in the other deeper pools. Kids pools also have a Loch Ness monster that stretches for several meters. All of the kids pool is tiled and they have a filtration system. The other swimming pools have depths between 90 cm and 2m, with varying lengths. The swimming lessons are good. Instructors are knowledgable and helpful. You can book sessions at a variety of different times through the center and you can even get individual private sessions too. They have a small café here that mainly sells junk food. Near the café, they have a series of seats and tables. The gym also has a large range of equipment. Generally, the place is quite hygienic, however you may get the occasional floating band aid in the swimming pool. Overall though, it is a very well maintained swimming and leisure center, that is huge in size, variety and capacity. There are a lot of parking spaces in the center too, making getting there a breeze.

This is a centre we often take our children during vacation care. If the grins on their faces are anything to go by then this place is five stars. But with a new centre in Marion it is difficult to give it the entire set of stars. It is a great place though and families have been coming back for years. Even I did when I was a youngen’. The centre has a small shop for buying you aquatic gear, a café enough space to fit a few hundred kids. Trust me though you’ll want to be in the water because swimming centers are by no means fun when your sitting in the humidity. There is also a gym, spa and sauna so really it is the complete package. Not a great place for professional swimming but good for children learning to swim and exercise. Expect to pay around $ 6 dollars for and adult and $ 5.20 for kids.

This is my local government’s leisure centre for our area. And it’s a good one! They have so may things you can do here so be sure to check out the timetables on different things on their website before you go. As well as the swimming centre with lessons and public times they also have a full gym /health club with crèche facilities available. They have an aqua playgroup so you can get your little one acquainted with the water in a much calmer and more constant environment that the beach. They also have 2 of the coolest inflatables that go in the pool which kids and adults love the challenges of alike. They are so much fun for everyone. In addition the recreation centre side of it offers ballroom dancing, netball, volleyball, basketball, soccer, squash, roller skating and something I have never seen offered anywhere else — dodgeball! A friend of mine played netball here and was in an actual team but I know for dodgeball you can just go and they will put you in a team or use a couple of groups to make up a team. The kids think it’s great fun, I love the fact it gets out some of their energy! They do some great roller skating events too and on the old school skates with 4 wheels, and no, they are not in one row! So much fun and being a government leisure centre all options here are a LOT cheaper than taking the kids elsewhere.
