Double Happiness offers good, inexpensive Chinese food in the heart of Newton, just East of the target shopping centre. Servings are generous, the flavours are all right where they should be.
The shop itself is a simple layout, there are a couple of little tables there to eat at but it’s really not about dining in, it’s all about picking up a quick, simple meal.
Lunch specials are particularly good value, combining a selection of dishes served with fried rice.
There’s plenty of off street parking available within the Mercury Plaza. The offerings are simple — run of the mill chinese food, but done well for an satisfyingly low price. Recommended. :)
Warning: No EFTPOS facilities — there’s about a dozen teller machines over at the Target centre.
