Do not let the confusingly comical name stray you away from Magical Rice. Dirt cheap, quick Japanese food for lunch is hard to beat. Offering a range of curries, teriyaki, sushi and rice dishes at sub-​$ 10 prices it’s a wonder there isn’t more stores. There’s already five of them but they are strangely located in what seems to be the somewhat obscure eastern suburbs of Brisbane.
The Murrarie store is on the entry to the Metroplex business park and so most of the clientele comes from workers inside the park due to its location.
All the hot food is cooked to order with very quick wait times. Recommended is the grilled satay chicken and the crispy fried chicken curry.
