Situated right opposite the train station this is a great place to grab a takeaway lunch/​early dinner. Burgers are pretty nice, fresh but a tad greasy. Berry yoghurt is great. Chicken strips are sometimes a little raw, but the Portuguese chickens are great and can be taken home to make stellar sandwiches. However the big clincher for this place is their chips — chunky and flipping excellent! Lovely service too. Definitely recommend!

Every suburb in Australia should have their own local chicken shop place. It’s just perfect for times when you’re starving but a Maccas burger just won’t cut it. Anyway, this chicken shop is closer to home than the nearest MacDonald’s anyway. What can I say? The place makes some decent hot chips and charcoal chicken. These foil packages are the ones my parents used to take home after watching a cousin’s game of footy on the weekend, or a day heading out to the beach (even though one wasn’t always enough to feed my family). So why not have more than one? They cost under $ 15 each. And if you don’t feel like chicken, they make some good burgers straight off the grill too.
