I hate wasting a good junk food binge. It’s like getting really drunk but having a really bad night. You still have to endure the hangover minus the deep and fulfilling satisfaction of an unforgettable night. Now, I have frequented this food chain a considerable amount over the years and it’s always been good. But not the last two times. I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence or if there is a new stingy manager employed here, wrecking mayonnaise satisfaction for everyone. I rocked up a few months ago, craving a mayonnaise smothered soft and succulent white bread roll filled with delicious chicken. I, of course, couldn’t feast on this delicacy without inviting its mate to the party — hot and bountiful chips with the right amount of golden glow and chicken salt. Big disappointment. I got a stale roll, very stale, indeed. It was filled with gross oily and off-putting chicken and a tiny smear of mayonnaise. Really, seriously lacking on the mayonnaise. The chips were overdone and limp as they come. I wanted to take my meal back but by the time I registered how bad it was I was half way through it anyway. One of the pitfalls of being a fast and ravenous eater. I put the fiasco down to a one off mistake and tried to comfort my heavy heart with some cheesecake — the cheesecake was quite good and lifted my spirits a tad. Then, just last night, I basically had a repeat of the same experience, minus the chicken roll, plus a chicken burger. And the chips were overdone and limp again. I hate a limp chip! So, Dear manager of Chicken Treat Midland, if you read this, please don’t scrimp on the mayonnaise or fresh buns. And watch that chip timer! Junk food binges are important to people’s mental sanity! P.S — The staff are friendly here and it’s always clean inside. Let’s hope this is just a momentary glitch for a good store.
