T2 as everyone probably knows by now caters to trendy tea drinkers. Catering to trendy people it is by no means cheap. The tea is massively varied and so it depends on taste. This particular outlet is busy and has a friendly vibe about it. The staff are helpful with a tea novice like myself and managed to sell me a licorice tea which I am enjoying as I write this. Worth the effort.

I’m a tea fanatic, have been since I was five. It helps me sleep, helps me to relax, helped me through homework and late night work catch ups. Tea is one of my very best friends, and its seen me through the works. So when I discovered T2 I truly entered my paradise. Gorgeous collections of tea cups and saucers and other collectible, exquisite kitchenware. But of course, I come for the tea. Well, not just for the tea; the décor and the way the products are merchandised make me feel as though I’ve arrived home. I would come just to look at the beautiful displays. Any sort of tea you could want, need, dream of or imagine is here. Green teas, peppermint, English breakfast, Earl Grey, Asian fusions and fruit fusions. It’s Teariffic!

I don’t care what Robert Anderson says, tea IS sympathy. Whenever I’m feeling unenthusiastic about things I head to T2 for some inspiration. I look around the store and its hundreds of tea types and flavours. I ponder the weird looking tea paraphernalia and think about the good times had sipping tea with close friends. Sometimes I look at T2’s many blends of tea all laid out on the table for customers to touch and smell, and just for a minute I believe I see the future in those little twigs. And then it comes to me. I do know the future. I am going to buy a blend of tea that I have never tried before, take it home, brew it up and sip it slowly and intently. The only question is whether I will buy Aussie, English, Irish, Kiwi Breakfast tea this time; or if maybe I will go the mature option of Darjeeling this time. So much tea so little time.

Now i may not be English but i enjoy a cup of tea just as much as an Englishman. T2 allows those of us who who like extravagant things to well… have extravagant things. A friend and i came in here and just the store interior reminds me of some kind of occult movie(in a good way), it’s really awesome! You can pick up matching colours of cups, jugs, mugs, storage and saucers! The items in T2 aren’t the cheapest but they are definitely worth it. I picked up a bight blue teacup(it’s massive) and i’m always stocking up on the likes of white, yellow, green and black teas. Anything from strawberry to vanilla infused, having a cup of tea was never so exciting!(Yes, i don’t get out much).
