Very nice little lunch place /coffee shop! I had the avocado and chicken panini which was really nice. It’s quite big so plenty of seats. They have a lot of different options which all looked very nice! Will try it again soon! Didn’t give it 5 stars because it is just a bit pricey.

the worst place! first the waitress changes $ 5.for a standard cup of coffee. Tries to justify price claiming, «special beans».Is there ANY where else charges this? Cafes in the same lane are $ 3.80. Then when I question the price, she abuses me and calls me a «retard». Price of a take away was $ 4.20… don’t go near this offensive rip off joint

Madamimadam is one of my favorite lane way coffee shops in CBD. The staff are always friendly, and genuinely glad to see you. The coffee is the best I have found in Melbourne. Coming from Alaska and Seattle, I’ve had some great coffee. The porridge with fruit and almond milk is so yummy and healthy all at the same time. The mocha, especially the quad shot they make on request, asked for extra hot, is so damn good. Don’t have more than one! No matter where I’m at in the CBD, I always make sure I make time for Madamimadam.

Popped into this CBD(«Central Business District» for my fellow Americans) breakfast/lunch laneway establishment that’s quite the popular spot with the business cognoscenti. The majority of folks stood in line for takeout, but they do offer seating and wait-service, as well. Very friendly, busy and efficient staff. I started my breakfast with a quad-shot mocha(served in a mug) that was, in three words, to die for!!! I’m not much of a coffee connoisseur, as I don’t drink it too often, but this hot mug of le café tasted pretty amazing! I chugged mine down, and easily could’ve gone with another; however, I was forewarned that I’d be bouncing off the ceiling if I had a second… ;) For breakfast, I went with their Shepherd’s Breakfast, which was two, thin-sliced pieces of toasted rustic bread, topped with a spread of fresh avocado, under a blanket of crumbled feta cheese, topped with two small, sauteed, whole portobello mushroom caps, topped with two poached eggs(I had mine hard-poached, as I’m not into runny egg yolks), along with four slices of «bacon»(which was more Canadian-style rather than the American version of fried bacon), all served open-faced. Everything about this meal was simply fantastic! Taste, texture, freshness, all perfectly prepared! Madamimadam was a splendid start to my day, and I can’t wait for my next visit!!! This place gets the full, 5-star shebang from me!!! :D

Little café tucked away down a lane way. I’m not a massive fan of eating lunch out. I like this to be my healthy meal and will often pack my own but sometimes you need to eat out with colleagues or time runs a little short. I had. It looks like many others around Melbourne and well to be honest I’d kinda written it off. Then one day I was in a hurry and hungry so I headed somewhere close to the office. I poked my head in to check it out and I knew I was onto something special. Looking past the sandwiches and focaccias I saw Bountiful trays of salads with ample amounts of both protein and vegetables, various forms of egg frittata and warm meals that don’t all have to come with a side of carbs. The also specialise in almond milk lattes for all the lactose intolerant out there. Also noteworthy are the small prices for decent portions. Most meals will cost you around $ 10 with some slightly more but all under $ 15. Takeaway and eat I’m available although the space is crowded. Some of my fave dishes include avocado and chicken salad and the Corsican casserole(which can be served with quinoa). If you’re in the area worth a try

I need to be careful that I don’t give 5Star reviews all the time these days, but hey, it’s worth it! Australian food might not be the best, but you find so many international restaurants that getting fat is guaranteed. Wherever I had a cappuccino the last days I was sure it was the best ever, just happened again. This place is awesome, you can get eggs any style, ciabatta with anything, fresh fruits, whatever, you name it and you will get it, breakfast till late, direct neighbors are four more fantastic coffee/breakfast shops, great area to start a busy working day!

OK, I don’t get their arts … is it an insect section? But that’s not why we are here … as I like what they doing here, fast pace but pleasantly enjoyable. Great team serving the ever busy lunchtime crown. Coffee consistently good, strong bodied beans. Well done!
