Very nice place — super friendly staff and great choice. Went there for lunch and they had a lot of options — salad bar, sandwich bar, and hot food as well. Had a chicken snitzel sandwich with cheese, pumpkin, red pepper and cheese. It was delicious and very big(couldn’t finish it but my –male — colleague who had a similar sandwich loved the big size!). A bit pricey($ 12) hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

I am really surprised that this café only has one review, clearly it is a hidden gem. Whilst saying in Melbourne we stumbled across Sacred Alley one morning hidden in Equitable Place off Elizabeth Street. My breakfast was outstanding and easily the best breakfast I had whilst I was in Melbourne over the last week. I ordered the breakfast special which was Dukka Eggs, the serving was huge — complete with poached eggs, falafel, humus and a type of chorizo. It was one of the most unique breakfasts I have had and was so good I attempted a re-visit yesterday morning before I left, but sadly the specials had changed and there was something new on the board when I walked past. Service was excellent and I really enjoyed the coffee, which we were advised was a new blend for them having only just changed to Dukes Coffee. All up breakfast came to $ 17.00 including a long black coffee. Excellent value considering I didn’t need to eat until dinner. Be sure to check out the specials board on your way in for what is on offer on that day!

Excellent service, nice diner-style fit out, good coffee and the usual breakfast choices — various types of eggs, house made muesli, pastries, porridge and importantly, good coffee. I told the waitress I was in a hurry and my poached eggs with avocado and tomato was out in 3 minutes. Super quick! I asked for no bread(following Paleo) and got a generous helping of avocado instead. Yep, I’d go back here again.
