Amazing! One of the best Italian restaurants in Sydney(in my opinion). I’ve been here a few times and each time has been an amazing experience. The seafood pizza is my favourite! It’s a ‘must-try’!

This restaurant appears to be closed: we went tonight, 27 May 2016, and it wasn’t open on a Friday evening.

Monday night was going to be a challenge to find a restaurant open. It was also after 8:30pm. We chose Leichhardt because we could get 2 hours free parking at the shopping centre next door. In fact, the only restaurant open in the Italian Forum was Sapore della Vigna. The four of us had different pastas and we weren’t disappointed. The wait staff were excellent. It wasn’t busy with other patrons having main meals but there were small groups having coffee and dessert. The only drawback is the smoking in the outdoor area.

Came here for Father’s Day lunch with my partner and parents. Started with the herb bread which was delicious and my dad reckoned it was the best he had ever eaten. We then shared two entrees — the grilled calamari(ok, not amazing) and fried haloumi with figs(very tasty but only 3 per serve and they wouldn’t add one extra so we had to order two serves). For mains we shared a beef ragu and fettuccine with scampi which were both lovely and fresh. The desserts are huge and best for sharing too. Service is great and attentive. This is a good pick for a dinner in Leichardt.

Great food and service. Went there for lunch for Father’s Day and the food was delicious! The deserts are yummy too and the serving portions are large so you might was to share. Service is exceptional too. Would definitely come back here again.

Beautiful food and wonderful, attentive service. We had a very long lunch on a miserable, rainy public holiday but very well looked after. Recommendations were spot on and the desserts to die for, the crêpes just sensational. Given there’s lots to choose from for Italian in Leichhardt, Sapore is a must!

Not too bad, but didn’t knock my socks off whatsoever. We got 2 platters of pasta between 5 of us, so 6 pastas overall. I can’t remember what the hell we got, half the menu? There was nothing bad and the seafood was all fresh and yummy, but am I going to be dreaming about any of the pastas I ate tonight? Am I dying to come back? Nope and nope. The service was spotty, quite often the waitress or actually ANY waitress was nowhere to be found. It was alright, but I’m gonna keep looking for my go-to Italian place for knock-your-socks-off pasta. This isn’t it.

Beautiful Italian cuisine on a plate. Probably not as a great as the Melbourne version, however it was worth joining the parade of hungry eaters on a beautiful summer Saturday night with a date in tow; the love of my life back at the time. Simple but elegant. Designed for you to eat and appreciate outside. Their pasta packs some punch; especially the fettuccine carbonara: oh so thick and creamy; but not to the point where you feel so bloated afterwards. Eating pasta at this establishment makes you feel that you might have been Italian in a previous life. It can get addictive, and within good reason as well. Please don’t come here every weekend if you eat out every weekend; there is more of Leichhardt’s culinary delights to explore. Lygon Street is to Melbourne as Norton Street is to Sydney. I rest my case. In saying this, an awesome dining experience overall: so make Sapore a destination you will come back to again and again in the future; especially if the food and the great customer service is consistent each and every time. Great with a date, or even with a few of your close friends. Don’t know why; however eating in a large group just wouldn’t cut it for me here.
