Nice place to come for breakfast or lunch. The coffee is good(by which I mean, as an infrequent coffee drinker, I don’t hate it), the staff are lovely and the food, while not extensive, is tasty and interesting. They do rolls, salads(I just enjoyed the lentil and halloumi) and all day breakfast, plus regularly changing chalkboard specials(often in Spanish/Latino style). And if you feel like a cold drink, I recommend the lemon and thyme lemonade.

Dil Campo is a regular stop shop for me while I’m studying. Located on QUT’s Kelvin Grove campus, it’s a welcome change to some of the watery cups of «coffee» available in some student establishments. There’s plenty of seating both outside and inside and provides a nice environment for any stressed out student or staff member needing a reprieve from manic university life. I’ve never been disappointed with my food or coffee at Dil Campo and am surprised that it’s not more populated, especially around lunch times. There is always great lunch specials(perfect for a student budget) and the staff are cool with people camping out for a little while on their computers. Whether you’re a student at Kelvin Grove or just passing through, Dil Campo offers good food and beverage for anyone who needs a bit of sustenance!

All day breakfast: check. Juices: check. Strong coffee: check. This bright, airy café poised on Musk Avenue just down from QUT Kelvin Grove is a great place to grab a quick lunch, or long lunch. It’s tough deciding whether it’s the freshly squeezed orange juice or the relaxed, casual alfresco seating that I like the most about this place. There’s a continuous line for takeaway coffees(don’t stress, the line moves along quickly). I have to say though, I was mightily impressed when several customers arrived for a take away coffee just past the closing hour of the café, and the staff were more than happy to give them their caffeine fix. Always a good trait in my books.
