Ordered a mixed kebab with lettuce, cheese and sauce. Owner was very friendly and the store was very clean with lots of seating, inside and out. The regular size is pretty big so can’t imagine how huge the large must be. Not a long wait and tasted hot and fresh with crisp lettuce. Great place for a quick lunch. Keep in mind there’s a minimum eftpos of $ 10.

My first visit to this place was a couple years ago, and really, there was nothing about it to make me come back. But recently the smells(maybe it’s the cold weather?) have been making me hungry as I go past, so I gave them another shot. In addition to the usual ‘meat’ on the gyro, they will also do you one with meat from a shish kebab, including lamb. That’s what I got, and it was quite tasty. I might even go back!

Good student vibe in a nice area, parking closeby and friendly enough staff. They didn’t have lamb or tahini though, both of my personal favourites. Plenty of seating and a relaxed atmosphere. Probably the best kebabs ive had this side of town.

Everyone knows that kebabs are the ultimate drunk food. There’s a reason that places like the Valley, Newtown, and King’s Cross are teeming with kebab joints. I must say, though, that not only do kebabs make an excellent meal for the inebriated, they are also a delicious between-lecture lunch. If you spend an inordinate amount of time at the QUT Guild Bar before/after/during lectures, then kebabs hit the spot on both counts!(Note: I have never attended a lecture while drunk. Or only once or twice… a month). To be honest, most of the times that I went to Kebab O Clock quality was the last thing on my mind. I was hungry, poor, and impatient. The fact that the kebabs here are actually above-par was a pleasant surprise and kept me coming back. I love the outdoor seating area here because it’s shaded by a beautiful big fig tree. Kebab O Clock is an excellent reason to go to uni or get drunk, or both simultaneously if you’re that way inclined.

The kebabs at Kebab O’ Clock at QUT Kelvin Grove are legit. I ordered the lamb kebab with a side of chips and took a seat outside in the warm sunshine to unwind between classes. There was a generous serving of meat, and the wrap itself was fresh. However, the second time I visited Kebab O’ Clock, I was less than impressed. I ordered a spud with several fillings, and the potato was undercooked and lukewarm. I’d recommend sticking to Kebab O’ Clock’s signature meals. The best thing about Kebab O’ Clock is its seating area; on a nice day you can relax in the shade and read through your lecture notes, or just zone out and enjoy your meal – lest it’s a spud.
