On par with their original store. Quick service, quality product, consistent, and flavoursome — that’s all you should need to know. Have tried a good number of the dishes on the menu, and each and every time it hits the spot nicely. Given its location, being the food court with a higher price point than the downstairs options, it’s still good value and you won’t feel hungry afterwards. And go on — be greedy, have some extra meat with your noodles if you’re feeling really hungry, and it isn’t a problem.

So the Mama Tran was doing such a roaring trade on Barrack Street that they’ve started franchising out into the ‘burbs. They recently opened at Joondalup, in the new upper level food court. The menu seems to be exactly the same as the Barrack Street restaurant, with all your favourite dishes available. Both mine and my friends dishes were good, at a pretty similar standard to the original store. What was missing though, was the plentiful supply of herbs on the condiment table, no huge bowl of mint and chilli, which is normally piled high for you to serve yourself at their original location and really pretty essential additions to all their dishes.

Mama Tran looked promising as i was checking the new section of the Shop and had to check it out. The service was great and staff were very friendly and helpfull. I was surpised how this place was really high tech. ipads for the registers and TV’s The egg noodle soup with prawns i had were awesome and seemed of high quality with a variety of things to add in to make it more enjoyable. Although the price is quite expensive. You a paying for quality authentic food that you don’t see in typical food courts. will cone again in future.

Lakeside Joondalup’s «Food Terrace» opened recently above the existing food court. I was particularly interested to try Mama Tran, the newest outlet of the popular Northbridge Vietnamese takeaway. Oh my goodness. I visited Mama Tran twice in it’s opening week — it’s safe to say I’m addicted to it’s tasty fast food, which is brimming with fresh ingredients and flavours. My favourite(so far!) is a noodle salad. A bowl full of vermicelli noodles, Vietnamese salad, grilled beef and the crowning glory — chopped spring rolls — is totally lush. I’m just a tad obsessed with spring rolls, so ordering this salad is a no-brainer for me. It’s $ 14.50, for which you get a very good sized portion. Mama Tran also has Bahn Mi(Vietnamese salad baguette), Rice paper rolls, soups and much more on their menu.
