Had the fried chicken and truffle eggs for breakfast. Eggs were awesome and the fried chicken was done how it should be done. Very happy as I find many places cant do the fried chicken brekky properly. Really friendly staff, quick service, spaced out seating so I don’t feel im sitting in on someone else’s conversation which is a nice change in Perth. Fair priced for Perth. Defiantly recommend

Taste experience at breakfast is not what we’re used to but the pork belly and zucchini flowers both did that gently! Lovely greeting, service and a water jug instead of a grotty reused questionable water bottle! Just moved to top of my list of breakfast besties! Go and see for yourself but leave me a table please!

Authentic Italian! I had heard so many good things about Cecchi’s that I’ve been desperate to try it out for ages. Headed there for dinner on Saturday night. Got a table in the courtyard, which was very romantic and pretty on that balmy evening. Service was incredibly welcoming, prompt and friendly. Shortly after we placed our orders we were offered a free amuse-bouche, which was a nice touch. For entrees we enjoyed the zucchini flowers(fried zucchini is the best zucchini!), stuffed with gorgonzola, and we also had the rabbit terrine. Both were great. For mains we had the osso buco ragu on pappardelle, and the squid spaghetti. Both were cooked perfectly, the squid especially was so tender, and the pappardelle fresh and soft so it slithered down your throat. We bounced out before dessert, which was a shame as they seem to be famous for their sweets. My only criticism was that I wasn’t in love with their wine list.

Cecchi’s in Inglewood has been on my bucket list for several years, and I finally made it there for brunch a few weeks ago. This cosy Italian restaurant inhabits a converted house on Beaufort St, and has the perfect courtyard setting for brunch. Inside those courtyard walls you could easily imagine for a moment that you are in a little trattoria in Tuscany, far removed from the busy thoroughfare it lies on. With my son Alex for company, we asked for advice from our charming and personable waiter, and ordered our meals along with a 5 Senses coffee for me. Alex was slightly disappointed that the slow eggs were unavailable as they were still cooking, but instead accepted the recommendation of the Pugliese sausage, fried egg, marinated kale and crispy chick pea polenta. This was a well executed dish with good contrasts of colours, flavours and textures. The sausage wasn’t the usual version, but a mix of lamb and pork with fennel and herbs that had been pan fried. The hot weather convinced me to try something different; the yoghurt sorbet with berries and muesli praline. This refreshing dish was delightfully cool and zingy on the palate, and I loved the accent of the crunchy muesli and the freshness of the berries. I had to eat quickly though as it didn’t take long for the sorbet to start melting. We were ready to try one of Cecchi’s special morning desserts, but sadly their much touted brioche croissants with salted caramel ice-cream were no longer on offer. Cecchi’s has decided to take them off the menu during the hot summer months, and will be offering ricotta doughnuts instead. However as neither were available for us to try, we opted for the apple pie panacotta. This beautifully presented dish came with a crumbly scattered«crust», apple sauce and little velvety cubes of apple jelly. Although the panacotta was not as wobbly as was expected(and I suspect this was deliberate because of the hot weather), this was truly scrumptious. All of the elements worked very well together in this dish; it was the perfect light morning treat and perfect for sharing. Our charming waiter informed us that an Italian bar will be opening next door later this year, and that although this will complement the existing restaurant, it will serve its own tapas-style dishes. This is something that is needed in the Inglewood area, and I am sure will be a huge success. I’m sold on the quality of Cecchi’s food, and look forward to returning and trying the evening menu. Overall this was a very pleasant experience, with food, service and ambience all top notch.

This place was a pure delight! It was pretty tucked away and hidden but once you walk through the entrance gates I was pleasantly surprised and how cosy and lovely the place was. Had a very Tuscan feel to the outdoor area with grape vines and lovely potted plants everywhere. The food took a little while to come out but it was worth the wait. We ordered the gorgonzola and pine nut stuffed zucchini flowers that came with a balsamic pear and hazel and walnut salad and then the steak with the eggs and potato cake which we both shared. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. We finished by sharing a salted caramel ice cream stuffed donut… Woweeee! I’m not usually a big fan of donuts but this one was out of this world! Very good service from all the staff… Was the perfect Valentine’s Day treat.

Really delicious and modern Italian food. Great little location with plenty of indoor & outdoor space that feels very intimate and warm by night and airy & fresh by day. Been here for both brunch and for dinner and always leave happy and very full. Food is always great(whether it’s eggs, pasta, meat or dessert) and coffee is also very nice. Good selection of wine and beer. Service is always amazingly friendly and attentive.

The brunch menu is short but sweet, with a really great variety of dishes you wouldn’t normally find on menus around town. While I’m a hollandaise fiend, I think it’s great that they’ve ditched the standard fare and are bringing an inventive, modern spin on things while staying true to their Italian Mediterranean slanted style of cooking. But having such diversity means choosing is hard. After a bit of to and fro, we lock down our orders, and eagerly await the food. The wait for longer than I would like to have experienced — especially because I was so hungry, with our meals taking about 30 minutes. Not a huge issue, but given it wasn’t too busy I think they’ll need to keep chipping away at this as an area of improvement. My friend’s choice was the steak with thyme hash, fried egg and red pepper jam($ 21.00). She was excited for this particularly for the fact that it was steak at breakfast time — definitely a hearty dish! It came out to the table and looked quite refined, but smaller than we would have expected for the price tag. She told us that it was cooked spot on medium, and the fried egg was satisfyingly yolky. The real star on the plate was that hash, which was not quite your traditional presentation but a contemporary interpretation. I think that to really round this out, some toast was necessary as I ended up giving her one of my slices so she was fully satisfied. I can see what the team at Cecchis are thinking with their dishes, but for the slightly elevated prices they need to make sure customers walk away feeling they got their money worth(and bread is a cost effective way to do this!). I chose the mushroom trifolati with ricotta and goats cheese mousse, hazelnut, slow cooked eggs and toast($ 17.00). Oh yum. I love mushroom anything, and the earthy combination of the flavour worked perfectly with the creamy cheese components. I’ve said it before, and I’ll still continue to harp on, slow eggs are totally my jam. Gooey, oozy, sexy slow eggs. And Cecchis do them so well. So, so well. The toast is quite small, but really tasty. It’s crisp and perfect for mopping up the yolk spreading all over my plate. What I also liked about this dish was the seasoning — it was so on point for the salt and pepper, making the flavours pop! We agreed that we definitely had room for dessert, so we ordered a couple of the brioche croissants to share. They’ve cleverly created these bad boys with a few different filling combinations so you can choose whichever suits your tastebuds. Immediately we all knew we couldn’t resist the croissant with salted caramel ice-cream($ 7.00 on our visit but has now increased to $ 10.00). Look at all the ice-cream just oozing out of there! And it was great ice-cream, satisfyingly living up to the salty element while still showcasing the caramel tones. The brioche croissant was delightfully light and flaky, with that buttery goodness you want when indulging in a pastry. We also decided to try the brioche croissant with vanilla custard($ 5.50 at the time, now $ 7.50). We tackled this one second since the ice-cream version provided more of an urgent timeframe, but it was still decadent and satisfying. The vanilla custard was sweet and creamy, cool and delicious. I would love to try the chocolate custard version next time I’m at Cecchis, it sounds too good to be true!

At the top end of Beaufort Street, this little Italian gem is a wonderful find. The staff are very attentive and friendly and a lot of thought and love has gone into the décor. As the rest of Perth heads towards bench seating and tiny tables, it can be refreshing to sit on a comfortable chair at a dressed table. The best surprise here is the reasonably priced menu. The breakfast menu is varied from stuffed zuchinni flowers to yoghurt sorbet. I tried the sorbet and it was delicious and complimented my delicious coffee. If you have an even bigger sweet tooth, the brioche croissant filled with salted caramel ice-cream is deliciously and dangerously indulgent.

I’ve had two very different breakfast experiences here and both were exceptional. On the first trip, I went traditional with poached eggs, toast with avo and bacon(crispy). It was all simple and perfect. On the second trip, I tried the steak. Amazing filet, so tender and perfectly seasoned. I’ll definitely be back to try more items on the menu… so many excellent choices. The décor, ambiance, outdoor seating and super friendly staff make it a win all around!

I’ve been wanting to go to cecchi since months ago after it keeps on popping up in my instagram and today I’m glad I finally did. I really recommend this place for a catchup session with friends. They have a beautiful outdoor area and a cozy indoor dining area. The food looks very beautiful on the plate(I was so mesmerized *and hungry* :p I forgot to take pictures!) and it taste even better than it looks! The service was also very friendly, which makes the dining experience even more pleasant. The dessert sounds so delicious I couldn’t help to order one(brioche croissant with salted caramel ice cream) even though I was so full already from the meal. I will surely come back to try some other items in their menu next time!

This Inglewood neighbourhood gem does brunch in style! Had the seared salmon with egg white spinach omelette, topped with asparagus — delicious! Other dishes on the menu included grilled octopus with mussels in a tomato broth, and mushrooms with baked eggs on a mousse of goats cheese and gorgonzola. Defintely not the standard run of the mill brunch menu and all very reasonably priced(most under 20 bucks). Great coffee, and hot chocolate fans get to pick a 70% dark option. Highly recommended.

Cecchi’s is a restaurant I have only heard great things about… so I’m not so sure why it took me so long to venture across town and try it out for myself. My first Cecchi’s experience was with their new brunch menu and it was certainly worth the wait. There were so many delicious and unusual breakfast offerings but I couldn’t go past the Mushroom trifolati, ricotta & goats cheese mousse and slow cooked egg. It’s the prettiest thing I have eaten in a while and the egg was perfectly cooked. Cecchi’s is housed in an old converted house and maintains the homely atmosphere and service I can’t wait to come back and try their dinner menu.

Walking in being the only people around made me feel a little misguided by the popular opinions of others. I wasn’t sold that I was going to be impressed. I was here with my sister and boyfriend and took a punt to stay and try out the food, because the sources I used to get here could surely be trusted. It’s a rather large space with chairs a plenty inside and out. The décor is old fashioned and rustic. Almost like you step inside your little nanna’s house with tables and chairs already set for a feast. We ordered off the brunch menu and everything seemed reasonably priced and catered to many poeple’s taste. There was slow cooked egg with mushroom, steak, pork belly and your regular breakfast plates that you can add your favourite sides. I really did love the food! Flavours sent my mouth into a frenzy and every bite of different ingredients showed me that the chef has a great love for food and enhancing the taste of everything on the plate. I hate tomatoes, but those seasoned vine cherry tomatoes almost convinced me enough to change my mind. Their dinner menu with their homemade pastas looks very inviting. I can’t wait to go back there!

Loved this place. Came for Brunch and it was a lovely and innovative meal. The staff were so nice, when I asked about their vegan options for a friend one of the owners came to talk to me. She said that they would be happy to make something up if I wanted something other than the Vegan pastry which is on the menu. Great service and great food!

Cecchi’s is a fine-dining restaurant that sits within a small house & garden on Beaufort Street in Inglewood. Husband & wife team Mark & Kylee-Anne Cecchi have been serving lunch and dinner there since 2012, and recently started serving brunch. Their food has received a fair bit of attention on social media, so we expected the usual rush of foodies to the next-big-thing and arrived at their opening time of 7:30am on Saturday ready for battle. Surprisingly, we were the only ones there, and only a few other tables were occupied during our stay. There is seating inside and out, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and enjoyed the fresh morning air in the garden. There are many different and interesting dishes to choose from, including a great«small plate» selection. Coffee is from Five Senses and my long mac was spot on, very smooth and a much needed kick-start to my morning. I haven’t had this much trouble choosing a dish in ages, and eventually decided on the steak with thyme hash, fried egg & red pepper jam($ 21). I’m not normally one to have steak for breakfast, but this dish really worked for me. The steak was melt-in-the-mouth soft, hash simultaneously crispy and soft(and well seasoned), egg perfectly fried and red pepper jam sweet, deep but not overpowering. Renay wanted something light, and chose the ham, herbs, egg & cherry tomato pie($ 9) which was beautifully presented. The pastry was light and flaky, the filling soft — much lighter than your average quiche — with a very definite«ham» flavour. Breakfast dessert is one of the most important meals of the day, and there was no way I was leaving without trying one of the brioche croissants I’d seen on Instagram. I opted to add salted caramel ice-cream, but alas it was still churning — thankfully there was tonka bean & maple instead. Wow. The ice cream was so soft, with a beautifully subtle vanilla-ish flavour. The croissant was an interesting texture, firmer than a normal croissant but not at all tough. This is the kind of thing you really have to experience for yourself — make sure you ask for a spoon because the ice cream melts really quickly… We had a lovely breakfast at Cecchi’s — great food aside, it’s a lovely place to sit in isolation from the outside world and we almost felt like we were on holiday. The service was very friendly and helpful, as if you were a guest in their home. I can’t understand why it wasn’t overflowing with customers when we left, which was well after 8:30am. Cecchi’s deserves a good share of the local«brunch» market for all the right reasons — not just because it’s the next big thing.

Lyvia, Christina and I caught up for brunch at Cecchi’s on Sunday morning, after of course being tagged by no one other than Lyvia on Instagram about a week or so ago ツ Being Asian, we’re typically like to share our food and that’s exactly what we did — we picked 4 dishes to try. The first dish was the Mushroom trifolati, ricotta & goats cheese mousse, slow cooked egg, toast $ 17. This dish was the girls’ favourite, especially Christina! I personally finds the mushroom a bit overcooked and plus I have lactose-intolerant so couldn’t really enjoy the ricotta & goats cheese mousse that much but the girls raved about it, so it must be good! The second dish we tried was the Steak, thyme hash, fried egg, red pepper jam $ 21. We picked this dish because the ‘thyme’ hash sounds a bit exotic and we were keen to find out what’s it taste like! This dish was my favourite, only because I am a red meat fan ツ the hash however would tasted nicer if it wasn’t too dense. The third dish was the Crispy pork belly, choucroute, peas, brioche crust, fried egg $ 19. The common feedback about this dish was it a bit salty and the crispy pork belly was rather dry. It would have tasted nicer if the pork belly was a little bit moist. And the fourth dish we shared was the Brioche croissant($ 4) salted caramel ice cream(+ $ 3). It was THE dish behind the real reason the girls and I caught up for brunch yesterday morning! The salted caramel ice cream was amazing! The brioche croissant’s exterior was flakey while the interior was dense and hence it was able to absorb the ice cream, much like a bread pudding(if you weren’t able to eat it quickly enough and the ice cream melts!) ツ I’m glad we shared this dish as I personally think this dish can be a little bit too«rich» for just one person, in my opinion anyway. I also ordered my usual Skinny Flat White though the coffee wasn’t as strong and I tasted milk more so than coffee. Cecchi’s has been opened since 2012 and run by a husband and wife team, Mark & Kylee-Anne Cecchi. Kylee-Ann managed the front of house while Mark is the Chef and looking after the food side. Cecchi’s can be a bit difficult to find as it look like a normal residential house from the drive by, unless you see a sign like this out the front! Service was excellent; both of the ladies who served our table were polite, cheerful and patient. The décor was warm and homely, little things like a simple vase with some flowers(see below) does makes a difference, although the wind was quite strong yesterday and knocked these vases over a few times! Overall a pleasant experience for my very first visit, I am keen to come back with hubby to try the Grilled Fremantle octopus, warm potato salad, paprika, parsley, morcilla and maybe the Seared salmon, spinach & egg white omelette, asparagus gremolata!

Italian done correctly is one of my favourite things to consume, and this little spot on Beaufort is my favourite little italian. As you arrive at Cecchi’s you walk through the courtyard and you feel as though you are about to walk into someone’s home. The location did used to be a home I believe, and there is still evidence of this from the way the restaurant is divided into multiple rooms. The restaurant is buzzing, but you’re only competing with the four other tables in your room for air time. Absolutely perfect for a date as you won’t be yelling at one another to converse. It is also date perfect for how it combines hip-ness(the colourful wall art) and traditional and class(the divine food that takes itself seriously). Read: «I chose this restaurant because I am cool, but I also value family and integrity.» Already your date is off to a swinging start! We had: 2 x glasses of wine 1 x beef main 1 x fish main and I believe it came to about $ 100. So it’s not super cheap, but your date is worth it, I hope ;)

Previously Da Bruno’s, Cecchi’s is quite the romantic hidden place and a favourite among couples. The food is modern Italian, presented artistically on the plate. It offers fine dining but a bit cheaper. I went for a family dinner and we left with smile and happy stomachs’. The menu showcases a select few options, but there was at least five choices under each heading. We enjoyed the sausage and polenta as an entrée, which hit the spot, but was almost not needed as we were treated to an amuse-bouche of mascarpone cheese and crispy pancetta on thin bits of toast, enough for two each. For main, I has smoked duck with beetroot sauce and ricotta which did not look like a lot of food on the plate, but by the end I was struggling to finish my plate — especially with dessert approaching. The others enjoyed, chicken breast, beef fillet and pearl barley and roast vegetables side dish. The service was friendly and prompt, staff clearly knew there stuff and were happy to answer any questions or repeat the mouth watering dessert menu. I just had to indulge in the Bomb Alaska with an Italian twist which I wish was bigger because I enjoyed every single mouthful — from the soft meringue top, biscuit base, ice cream middle and chocolate sauce. It was truly a masterpiece! This is definitely a good first date place, with the intimate setting and slightly obscure location away from the main Beaufort Street drag. So much so, that we even caught a couple kissing outside ;)

Cecchis is way up Beaufort street and a lot further then I would usually go but I’m pretty glad I did. Its about 100 mtrs away from the Civic. It is like a little house and you walk through the front court yard and then through the front door into the restaurant which is small and intimate, it is divided into a rooms just like a house would be. The service was amazing, they were constantly coming back filling up our wine and water but it was not over the top. They bring out two shot glasses of carrot soup and crackers to start with. It also BYO! The menu is quite small but each meal looks amazing! I had the beef fillet which was cooked perfectly! The mains cost around $ 40 each. The menu is always been changed so I should of taken more notice of what I had for entrée and main because there are no menus online. All I know is the food was to die for and the atmosphere is great!

A hidden gem on Beaufort Street Having heard about this restaurant recently, me and Susan thought we would pop in and have a look to see what it’s all about. Getting a booking wasn’t too hard last minute so a positive note to start with. Finding it was a bit harder than we expected as it is situated between shops on Beaufort street near the Civic Hotel. The search was worth the work. Quiet a decent front area and entry and smile and warm greeting upon entry told us this was going to be a pleasant experience. The young waiter and waitress that alternatively served us were polite, knowledgeable and lacking any kind of off putting attitude. The restaurant was at about half capacity when we arrived so we even had a choice of a few tables. We went with a glass of Pinot Grigio each to go with a shared entrée of Braised Rabbit and porcini mushroom ragu with papppardelle and parmigiano. This was simply amazing flavoursome to the point of us both wondering if we should have ordered the dish as a mains serving instead, yet not to the extent of overpowering that you have trouble finishing the dish. The pasta was exceptional also. For our mains we decided on the Pork loin and prosciutto, pork belly, chestnut, apples and gnocchi and also the Crispy skin barramundi with saffron soffritto and prawn. The barammundi was cooked to perfection and the skin was extra crispy. As for the pork belly the skin was also very crispy. It was universal opinion that the pork dish was our favourite of the night. Owing the decent serving sizes we were unable to sample the deserts on offer but they are different most nights and did sounds interesting with offering that night including a panacotta and honeycomb offering. Overall a great experience with friendly service and awesome food. The only pity in my opinion is the lighting is a bit too bright. Maybe could do with a bit of dimming, otherwise the interior is decent. This is a pricey establishment but you won’t be upset parting with your hard earned.
