This is my favourite location for Hakataya Ramen in Brisbane. The broth is always consistent and tasty, and while it may not have the complexity of a Taro’s broth it is certainly one of the best I have tried in Brisbane considering the price point. The noodles are always awesome, perfectly cooked and tasty. The pork is admittedly a little lack lustre but certainly not bad. I do like how it melts a little in your mouth. It does get very busy and if you’re planning of sitting in the shop itself you may find that you have to wait for a seat to become available. In my opinion it’s well worth the wait as you have front row seats watching the kitchen at work while you eat. It’s also much nicer than sitting in the depressing food court at indooroopilly.

finally this place is in Indooroopilly from sunnybank! I used to go to sunnybank to eat it but now I don’t need to go there anymore! The best is the ramen and the rest is just ok

So disappointed :-( Was looking forward to their delicious fresh pan-fried gyouza that I’ve enjoyed before, but they were not the same at all. I waited 10minutes but they were totally different. They may have been pan-fried earlier that day, but what I received was a luke-warm package that dripped tepid water when I bit into them. Won’t bother going back. The 2 stars are for the lovely staff.

Authentic Ramen. Noodles are good and the broth is always the right consistency. Affordable. More menu options would be nice but doing one thing well is not a bad idea. Service is quite fast given the volume at the centre.

Free water :) Extra noodles if u ask nicely :) Real ramen in Brisbane :) Tools, utilensils, kitchen etc make u feel like u are in ikebukuro :) Downsides are the soup is not that tasty by Japanese(or California) standard. Noodles also not the best tasting — actually they are devoid of flavour. Also consistsntly slightly too undercooked(and i like my noodle al dente). Miso raman was too salty(even though we all know miso is salty). The tsukemono(pickled vege) appetizer was too spicy to enjoy as a solo appetizer. So while i am super happy to see real ramen popping up in Australia, i am sorry but the soup and noodles were 2 star by japan standard and 3 star by San Francisco/san jose standard. Hoping this is just the start of things to come… Would love to re rate higher soon if possible.

Top notch ramen in this place. Cooked right there in front of you. Can get very crowded, and only a few seats around the bar. But you can get your ramen and take it into the food court. If you really want a seat at the bar you should plan to come a bit early, wait for a seat or just order it and hope you luck out on the seats before your order comes up. Big groups forget about it. As for the food, I can’t go past the char siu men and the gyoza is excellent too.

All I can say about this place is «omfg let us go eat!». This place is not a very big venue but don’t worry it’s located in the food court! So you can easily bring all your friends and eat their wonderful ramen. Luckily I got there at a good time when there was no one there except for me and my friends, the reason I say this is because if you are able to get a seat you are entertained with a front row seat of them making your ramen(with taste testers ;)) The only reason I have given this restaurant a 4 star is because of the size of the venue other than that I would highly recommend this establishment to all ages. Regards Lucas ;)

Oh my goodness so Unilocaling good that this opened so close to where I live! The first 3 days of opening this place gave away free Nagahama Ramen with… FREEKAEDAMA!(refill of noodles) — plus if it’s your birthday you pick your favourite ramen for free — yay! For those of you who don’t know much about the Hakataya Ramen craze, soon will as line ups were very long in the foodcourt… and yes, it’s a foodcourt stall. The broth is what makes this magical noodle soup good, the broth is Tonkatsu Soup, which is pork bone broth… marrow really. Incredibly good for you, keeps the skin youthful, young and very nutritious. The broth is simmered for 39 hours and super rich in collagen. The carefully selected pork ribs are cooked in a way they literally melt in your mouth. What a happy day — for those of you wondering about the free noodles — they don’t come with extra soup, so be sure to order them(if you are still hungry) before you finish the soup.

I am a big fan of Hakataya Ramen and I was over the moon when I heard they’re opening a store in Indooroopilly. Settled in the corner of the Indooroopilly Food Court Area you can’t miss them as their store is flashing red! We lined up on their first day for the free Ramen and boy was it good. When ordering we were welcomed in Japanese by staff members. All of them really happy and friendly and helpful. The rich broth combined with perfectly cooked pork will melt in your mouth. The serving is– as in all Hakataya Ramen stores– big and if you still feel that you have some space left, ask for a second round of noodles for free. They also have yummy gyozas on offer, too. This particular store is not big, it basically consists of the kitchen and a couple of bar chairs around it, but there’s plenty of space in the food court. Cant’t wait to go back for more.
