I did not love the experience I had here. I was left unsatisfied by a number of things, even though, as most of my friends will attest, I’m pretty easily pleased. The service was deeply average. It took roughly an hour for meals to arrive. I felt this was inadequate, given that the order comprised of very standard café fare. When the meals finally hit the table; we’d been supplied with the wrong food stuffs. Several patrons, all of whom ordered after my party, were served ahead of us. I know they’re first world problems, but it was reasonably disappointing. The lacking service cemented my dining partner’s hesitation to try new things and the phrase«different is bad» may or may not have been used on more than one occasion. The food was palatable. I was reasonable sated by my meal and would return to the café in a fit of desperation. If the café’s aura had a colour, it would without a doubt be beige; the epitome of average. I just wanted a bog-standard big breakfast, with extra breakfast and thought the Corner Café would be the place to find it. Sadly, I was wrong. I’m likely to give it another shot though, because it’s just too convenient not to be on the list of considerations…

A wonderfully simple, everyday café! My friends and I have turned into regular lunch customers, enjoying massive servings of coffee and tasty food at very reasonable prices. While nothing on the menu is mind-blowingly amazing, everything is done right — which is something very few places can lay claim to. They have basic, but good quality ingredients, which are all well prepared and served by very pleasant staff.

Their staff is super friendly and I love the Bircher Muesli. Also the croissant with jam! When I tried the salmon on sourdough with poached eggs though I was really disappointed. The hollandaise and the eggs tasted like nothing but vinegar. And the freshly squeezed orange juice wasn’t fresh but old oranges were used. I will go back there but probably stick to the good old muesli

Anywhere that serves me my Chai Latte in a massive sized mug accompanied with my steak sandwich is okay with me. What makes them okay is the taste. Most places who have the gimmicky large size, really water down their coffees and dull down the taste of the cakes. Not this place. For that I will be thankful. It was open after a movie one afternoon and the husband was a really friendly guy, café wasn’t very busy and he was really happy to chat… usually I don’t mind people who chat because all I want to do is drink my coffee and eat my meal, but he was a cool guy so I accepted his challenge of having 2 big coffees. I love love loved the sandwich, done to perfection, so that is why I will be back and recommending it to my friends.

Corner Café 26, is just your generic run of the mill café. I came here one day before heading to a shift at work. I did not leave here unsatisfied, just not blown away. It is an alright café for anyone who wants to escape the shopping centre but not travel too far away from it. Before Corner Café 26 opened, the café before this one(I can not even remember the name) was very stale and needed a refurbishment. Café 26 now looks a lot more modern and welcoming. One clever thing they did was open up the front window to take quick takeaway coffee orders which is convenient for people who work in the area. It is a shame the coffee is not that good; I ordered a takeaway coffee and not only did it turn my tongue because the Barrista obviously burnt the milk but it was very bitter. After that experience, I think I will just stick to my usual takeaway coffee from one of the cafes inside the centre. Corner Café 26 is not an awful place, it just has not much going on to make it very special.
